My Actifit Report Card: April 25 2023

in Actifitlast year

When I got up this morning, my arm was not feeling as good as it was yesterday, so I decided I had better not go disc golfing. I figured I should take the advice of a few of you guys and really wait this time until things are fully healed up.

Once it gets a bit better, I should be doing some strength exercises before using it at the level I had been before. It is still frozen up just a bit with less mobility than my other arm, so I should be working on that, too.

I did my usual short walk today. I would be nice to do a bit longer walk tomorrow if the weather is nice.

A view through the window:

This yellow bird was eating the dandylions:

This kind of small bird moves around a lot, and it is difficult to get a photo. This is using a 30x zoom through a window with a screen on it. The smartphone does an amazing job of picture taking under the conditions.

Thanks for reading! I always value your support and comments. The pictures were taken by me with my Galaxy S22 Ultra. Text and graphics copyright lightsplasher & litesplasher..

Good that you are finally going to follow the advice and take rest unless you arm is not better. Taking rest helps to heal faster and you should do it. The view from your window is good and it's full of greenery. Have a good rest.

Thanks, it is hard not to play when the weather starts getting nice, especially when my arm is feeling much better. I can still tell that there is something going on with it but there has always been a few issues.

Don't take stress and your arm will be fine soon. You can go for disc golfing another day. The yellow bird is cute and you captured it in a magical moment of the day!

It was fun trying to get good photography without scaring it away. Usually, I have more issues getting a photo through the window screen but the lighting must have helped.

yes the lighting of your photos is just perfect and your camera represent each photos are like clicked by professional photographer.

That's a lovely yellow bird on green grasses. You managed to capture it despite it's instability.
Great shot with that smartphone. That's why I love Samsung phones. Looking forward to upgrading my Note 10+ to S21 or S22 ultra by next year.

It is nice to upgrade every few years the cameras and technology improves a lot. I'm really happy with my S22 Ultra. I thought I might have fun drawing with the pen and I do once in a while. I get frustrated with it a bit because I'm not as good as you are, lol.

Haha, I know it is always frustrating when you try to draw but don't get the result you wanted but just keep trying.
Upgrading is for sure for me!

very lucky there are still birds like this in your place ... in my area birds like this are very rare at this time.

I have a feeder in the backyard so they do show up around the house a lot. I like watching them, especially this time of year.

It is not necessary that you should struck each day with a single task.

You should care yourself and start a day afresh.

I guess I am somewhat of a creature of habit. I like going to bed at the same time and tend to get up at the same time. Sometimes I sleep longer in the afternoon but I generally do about the same things.

Sorry your arm is still giving you trouble. Wondering if you are taking any kind of anti-inflammatory meds. I'm not a doctor ! ... but one told me one time that if I had something persistent that was somewhat out of the norm, that I could take something like advil as if it were a prescription from 5 to 10 days. It is supposed to help with healing, but I do realize, it doesn't work for everything. Of course that doesn't count if you are allergic to such things or it interferes with meds one already takes or any other conditions you may have.

I love little yellow finches. I saw them eating the dandelion seeds for the first and only time about 8 or 9 years ago. I had let a patch of grass grow up in my backyard for a while one spring so I could enjoy the wildflowers. As I was doing my dishes one day and daydreaming out my back window, I saw some yellow finches in the tall grass and they were getting beside the tall stem of the dandelion and then putting a foot at the base of it and then side stepping across the stem causing it to bend over, where they could eat the seeds off the top of it when they got up to the "wish" ball of seeds. I had never seen that before and I was so mesmerized watching them do that over and over. I wondered how I had gotten into my 50s before ever seeing it happen. It was fun to see.

Thank you. I don't think my arm is inflamed at this point. My guess is there is some issue with the tendons or a rotator cuff tear. It is a bit frozen and hurts a bit to move through the full range of motion. Sometimes there is a sudden pain that flares up if it is pulled at the wrong point but it goes away soon. It is improving gradually. I am eating my food spiced with turmeric and taking some fish oil and supplements for joint health. I hope to be playing again soon, things are improving.

I love spotting these yellow finches around the house too. There are a variety of birds that come by on occasion. There are many different plants, bushes, and trees growing in my yard and I think they enjoy that and of course the feeder in the backyard.

It's better to wait a bit my friend @lightsplasher if your arm didn't feel as good as yesterday, that's why your decision was very smart, not to play disc golf for now, follow our advice to wait a bit longer, it will be for the best soon. Taking care of the garden is a good distraction and ensuring that your plantations are not spoiled by birds. Congratulations, thank you for always appreciating my publications, in the most recent one I explain some postures that you can practice gently in your garden. Greetings from Venezuela.

Gardening is a very nice exercise and seems helpful at this point for my arm. I can restrict how much I feel like using it and there are a variety of low-impact movements that I can optionally make. Greeting back and have a nice day.

What you express is very important dear @lightsplasher gardening is a very relaxing and effective action both mentally and physically, it makes us meditate and exercise the body, especially the arms. I wish you the best in life, good health. Happy day, it is my wish that we always visit each other through Hive. Hugs.

That is a gorgeous bird!

I really like the bright colors of the birds this time of the year. It is fun to try to get a picture when I spot one.

It seems that your desire to play golf today must be postponed because your arm is starting to hurt, I hope everything will be fine and you can recover your arm to the fullest

such a beautiful bird, seems so docile, are there so many kinds of wild birds like that? if in my area will definitely be arrested

There are a lot of wild birds that come by the house. If I am inside and careful about how much I move around I can get a picture of them without scaring them off.

First of all thank you for following our words that you should not play until fully recovered
And I always pray to the creator for your health, may the creator restore the health of your arm very soon

Immediately thank you very much for presenting us with such a fascinating photography you have presented.

Thanks, you guys are helping me not to take things too fast and I appreciate that and your well wishes. I feel like things are improving.

Yellow birds and the drops of water on the grass look amazing. Glad you choose to take more rest for your arm. Stay Blessed.

Thank you, I'm glad you liked the photos.

That is a pretty good pic.

There's more than one way to get a birdie..

I wish I was out on the disc golf course getting birdies but it is what it is.

I think you should avoid disc golf because health is necessary than disc, that will be good for you and your family. May Allah heal your shoulder soon @lightsplasher

Thank you. I'm sure that taking it slow will be better in the long run.
