Once more, I present our lovely Musical Event to you all: AFRI-TUNES WEEKEND EVENT. Where we celebrate our African Music and tunes.
This is the 3rd week of our Afri-tunes Weekend Event on Hive and today I am going to give you something special because you are all special people 😎
I am going to present this "UNDYING AFRICAN CLASSIC MIX" titled Eddie Quansa or Edikwansa (as many of us call it). This is a Nigerian Highlife music released in the 70's, but this music still reigns 🔥 and it prides itself in the beauty of African Music.
This song was sung by Nze (Chief) Dan Orji, Peacocks International Band, and the song was also used as the tune or signature for a comedy series titled The New Masquerade, aired in 1983.

Well, we grew up listening to this tune and many of us were singing the wrong lyrics 😅 Hopefully, this post will also serve as an educative piece as well 😉

BEHIND THE SCENE 😉
Mhen! This was an interesting, educative and stressful experience.
I got the inspiration to do this song just yesterday afternoon around 13:00 (1pm). I scored the lines quickly and began to record it since there was electricity.
I used my phone camera - Samsung A12
Adobe Premier Pro - As Video editing software
FL Studio - As audio editing software.
After recording the sweet steady rhythm line, adding guitar chords and the bass lines, electricity went off and it came back by 4:30am Sunday Morning 😓 I had to get up quickly and record it, incase the electricity doesn't last long. Still feeling stressed 🤦♂️
The Sax and percussion mix were done without light hence the minor/major timing error.
But I'm so glad I finished it within 1 day 😁 If I had constant power supply, this will be done in few hours.
