Since I started a new job earlier this year, it's been full on, a "baptism of fire" is an understatement, more like a smothering of napalm!
Still, it was encouraging to hear the words, "next year, there will be more" from my caring manager as evil cackles echoed around the building before they disappeared on a broomstick in to the night for their early Xmas hols. NOT!
Anyway, as everyone in the building has been slowly but surely evacuating for Xmas, my time will come tomorrow as I sunset for the holiday season.
OK, enough of the fiat mining shit, let's get on to the fun stuff!
Flying High
Yes yes! Earlier in the year we got a round to remixing an epic tune from the 90s by Fatboy Slim, which samples Bird of Prey in his tune "Sunset".
I'm surprised that no-one made a dnb remix of it since it was released in 1999 as it has the perfect blend of beats and melodies with some spaced out synth sounds.
So with that in mind, allow me to present my fresh take on this beauty. I've remade the chords, bassline and everything else myself, only using the tiniest of samples from Fatboy Slim's track for the build up to the drops and of course the incredible vocals from Jim Morrison.

Thanks a lot man! The original by Fatboy Slim actually samples the Jim Morrison vocals from the Doors, that man had such a beautiful singing voice!

Things were pretty manic right up until the last day but yesterday was a little more chill, now I'm away from it all and spending time with family which is going to be great!
