Una banda de pop rock alternativo que he seguido desde su lanzamiento es Coldplay. Uno de mis álbumes favoritos es Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friend, cada canción tiene un contenido increíble. Es una mezcla de rock artístico e intelectual. Hoy quiero presentarles con la trompeta un clásico de esta agrupación británica titulada «Viva la Vida». Este fue compuesto por Chris Martin, fundador y vocalista de la banda, y con la colaboración Guy Rupert Berryman, William Champion y Jonathan Mark Buckland. La frase Viva la Vida es inspirada en uno de los últimos cuadros de Frida Kahlo, una hermosa pintura con colores intensos de unas Sandias. Si han visto alguna película o leído alguna biografía, sabrán que esta frase está marcada con un tono irónico, sarcástico y trágico. Ella tuvo una vida difícil después de un accidente, ella era compleja, exótica y excéntrica.
An alternative pop rock band that I have followed since its launch is Coldplay. One of my favorite albums is Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friend, each song has amazing content. The phrase Viva la Vida is inspired by one of Frida Kahlo's last paintings, a beautiful painting with intense colors of Watermelons. If you have seen a movie or read a biography, you will know that this phrase is marked with an ironic, sarcastic, and tragic tone. She had a difficult life after an accident, she was complex, exotic, and eccentric.
La canción está dentro del subgénero Pop Barroco, ya que es un arreglo orquestal con instrumentos como violines, violonchelos, flautas y otros. Es una mezcla entre la música clásica, y el pop rock. La letra es realmente interesante porque habla de un periodo de la historia que siempre me ha apasionado, la revolución francesa. La Canción está en primera persona, y este personaje se puede identificar rápidamente como El Rey. Este se encuentra en una condición de calle, de pobreza y mendicidad, está destronado y ha perdido su entrada al cielo. Es una reflexión sobre la vida, sobre lo que ha hecho, y lo que se ha perdido.
The song is within the Pop Baroque subgenre since it is an orchestral arrangement with instruments such as violins, cellos, flutes, and others. It is a mix of classical music and pop rock. The lyrics are really interesting because they talk about a period of history that has always fascinated me, the French revolution. The Song is in the first person, and this character is quickly identifiable as The King. He is in a street condition, of poverty and begging, he is dethroned and has lost his entrance to heaven. It is a reflection on life, on what he has done, and on what he has lost.
La vida significa para mí una oportunidad para aprender, crecer y llegar a ser. Es una bendición poder apreciar las cosas sencillas, como el aire, el agua, la tierra y el fuego, de vivir una vida con propósito. La vida también se resume en tiempo para superarse y dejar una huella, y este tiempo es limitado. Yo considero que cada uno puede dejar un rastro significativo, puede ser una contribución a la humanidad y a las futuras generaciones, o impactar en la vida de tu familia, de un amigo, y hasta de un desconocido. Hay que vivir la vida intensamente, amar, reír y alcanzar nuestros sueños. No hay que desgastar la vida creyendo que mañana moriremos, hay que invertir en ella. Cuando ya no podamos levantar nuestros brazos, y nuestro cabello se encuentre blanco, espero podamos ver nuestra vida en retrospectiva, y podamos decir que Viva la Vida.
Life means to me an opportunity to learn, grow and become. It is a blessing to be able to appreciate the simple things, like air, water, earth, and fire, of living a purposeful life. Life is also summed up in time to improve and leave a mark, and this time is limited. I believe that each one can leave a significant trace, it can be a contribution to humanity and future generations, or impact the life of your family, a friend, or even a stranger. We have to live life intensely, love, laugh, and achieve our dreams. We must not waste life believing that tomorrow we will die, we must invest in it. When we can no longer raise our arms, and our hair is white, I hope we can look back on our lives, and we can say Viva la Vida.

Brother, igual me pasa, pienso en Vivaldi, Bach y Händel. Hay varios grupos que incluyerón este género en su repertorio como los Bee Gees y The Beatles. Me encantán esas fusiones de diferentes periodos de la historia con la música actual, son como las neotendencias.
