Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I'm here with some really cool pictures that my wife took recently!

Salt Cave Photography
Photography is one of the things that my wife really enjoys which is good. This particular bit of photography is when she wasn't feeling well! Even not feeling well she has a knack for it that's for sure lol.
We've heard about Salt Caves as a way to help heal and keep people healthy for a few years but we never tried it until recently. My wife had a cold and it was one that was pretty bad for her on the mucus level. She kept getting the shit running and that of course turned into a cough, one hell of a persistent cough at that!
One of the things that we read for persistent coughs is, if you can and have one near you, try to visit a Salt Cave. The Salt Cave is exactly what it sounds like lol it's not a cave but it's a place that has a shit load of salt everywhere! There is a lot of research apparently on the positive benefits of being in an environment that has an abundance of salt in the air. They realized this when the salt miners were never getting sick despite everyone around them falling ill. They looked into it and it's got a lot of merit which is cool! They've even started using this to treat people with a bad cough from the China flu which is great! Alternatives are what we need more than anything for sure.
So my wife visited the salt caves and damn they were really awesome looking! Let's ignore the health benefits of it for a little while lol. The mood of the place is supposed to be deep as a way to try to bring relaxation and stuff. Using these dark amber colors really brings it out I think!
The place is kind of like a lounge, in that it's got these lawn chairs strewn all over the place and the salt is blown in through a vent in the wall on the right side I think there. They say you should sit somewhere around the room and you'll get the benefits but my wife was in desperate straights so she sat right underneath the damn thing lol gotta OD on the stuff sometimes!
The walls are filled with massive chunks of salt glued to them which is pretty cool. I don't know if it's recommended to lick it or anything.. but I guess anything is possible lol I wouldn't recommend it that's for sure!
The lights in the room really make it look pretty wild. I haven't gone myself but I do plan on going once or twice after she gets better, she's been fairly uncomfortable with the damn cough because it just persists. Thankfully we've got things like this nearby where we can go visit them and she can get some good alternative therapies!
The closeups she got were really awesome! I am digging it for sure lol she has a good eye for it. This kind of reminds me of a chunk of lava rock or something at the top of a volcano, pretty cool!

Wow this is so nice with the beautiful shots taken and thanks for sharing.
Thanks! It was beautiful to see them and I know one day I’ll get to enjoy it myself!
Initially, I thought those lights were lava truly until I saw pictures of chairs in there. I had a different idea of what a salt cave was.
I trust your wife is feeling better now, happy Christmas in advance.
Thanks! Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!
The cave is the name of it, but it’s a basement of a building they made look like a salt mine. It was pretty cool for sure!
Yes, it appears to be lava rock bits when viewed.
It's amazing, you are so grateful to have this natural wealth.
Thanks! It’s beautiful indeed! It isn’t an actual cave but a store that built this into its basement which is cool but it does have all kinds of giant salt blocks around! Then blowing in the salt air makes it very similar to the actual cave.
I think the salt cave is naturally occurring. Amazing! They had been able to conjure it to perfection.@cmplxty, Happy New Year! May all goodness be with you and your family.
So…basically salt is like…a meteorite that gives you superhuman health and resistance? Cool! There should be some sort of scifi movie about this:)
I have to admit, when I heard salt cave, I was imagining like an entire mountain of crystalline salt. I guess the movies has given me unrealistic expectations of real life stuff lol.
I hope the salt cave therapy works and that she gets better soon. Will be waiting on your own shots of the place. I can’t get enough of the place. It’s beautiful.
Hahah yeah they don’t literally make it a salt cave but they do model it off legit salt caves that people work in, in spirit. I think Poland is where a lot of this goes on and they noticed that the salt miners weren’t getting sick at all. Crazy stuff!
She’s feeling a lot better thankfully but it was a combination of factors that made it this way. Hopefully she doesn’t get sick again anytime soon but if she does we know what to do to prevent it from getting to this point.
Merry Christmas man! Hope you have a great holiday, whatever you participate in!
Lol Merry Christmas to you as well, man. Have a lot of fun, and be sure to tell us all about it after the holiday. I can’t wait to read about your Christmas adventure with the little man:)
