Operation Epstein Fury

“The war is not meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance." --- George Orwell

Saturday morning, we all woke up to discover that the Epstein class had shifted the perpetual warfare machine into a higher gear. Been hearing about how Iran is about to get the bomb any day now for the last thirty years, don't think anybody took it very seriously at this point, which made waking up to the news that we were bombing girls' schools doubly horrifying and infuriating.

No one asked for this war, either. Well, other than Bibi. Kind of wild how much death and destruction two old men clinging to power to stay out of prison can cause.

It's being reported that US troops were being told that the vainglorious felon was “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth,” which reeks of that particular American flavor of Christian nationalism and insanity.

'Let's start a war so the Prince of Peace will come back!' Still waiting for Stanley Kubrick to appear out of nowhere and yell "Cut!" but we likely won't be so lucky.

As the shock of the news has worn off, Louisville has taken to the streets, rain or shine.

Metro Councilman JP Lyninger joined University of Louisville students and community members at a protest outside a U of L building to speak out against the war(s) and demand the university end its partnership with the Department of War.

Weird how "No War For Oil" has a timeless quality to it. Sharp Objects 502's Bridge Brigade went into action on Sunday, with a 'Files: Yes War: No' message. Was a message that was quite well received by passersby, although did get flipped the bird by an older white lady driving a Porsche.

The war is already starting to hit home a bit here, with all six of the confirmed dead US soldiers from a unit stationed just thirty miles southwest of here, at Fort Knox.

Operation Epstein Fury seems more and more insane and ill-advised by the day, Allah only knows where it goes from here. Does make you wonder though, why, in the words of Tupac Shakur, "They have money for war but can't feed the poor"?

I love Louisville :)

I understand the old men. I don't understand the people who vote for them and support them. That's the part that makes me despair.

I hope that the majority of the American people take to the streets across the country and do not return home until they manage to stop this madness. Only you, from within, with great pressure, can stop this, because “international law” has long since ceased to exist.
