In my travels to the Czech Republic, in Prague, I also visited the Prague castle. According to the Guinness world records, this is the largest ancient castle in the world, occupying an area of almost 70,000 square meters. It looks like the history of this castle began in 870 when the first church was built and fortifications started. In 1541, most of the castle burned down due to the fires there.
I was mostly interested in the cathedral of Saint Vitus, it looks crazy and it's huge. To me, it looks like gothic architecture. The cathedral is owned by the Czech government. When I say it's huge then I mean it. I wasn't able to fit it in one frame and the main tower is 102.8m high.
The construction of the present cathedral began in 1344. Here are some photos taken of the cathedral. Unfortunately, I was not able to go inside. I can imagine that the interior is also insane.
Prague Castle is also home to the presidential palace. There was a guard at the gate of the building.
Getting to the castle requires some walking uphill for quite a while. Some good views appeared during the walk.

Yes, it´s just as impressive from the inside as it is from the outside. Oh and yes, it´s Gothic ;) One of the most prominent pieces of Gothic architecture in Europe actually...
