Hello itinerants all over the world and hive community! What's up with you guys? I am forever grateful by your support and for interacting with me in my blogs. It really does mean a lot to me and I hope to learn more photography and editing skills along the way. I'm just really thrilled and excited each day reading and curating interesting posts in this wonderful corner of hive blockchain. Just a disclaimer, I'm not a professional photographer so please bear with me as I share my noob shots. I am very open with corrections regarding the photography terms that I might mistakenly use so please I beg you to always chime in to educate me.
Hearts day is just around the corner and everyone must have been planning how to celebrate it with their loved ones. Celebrating Valentines doesn't only to be celebrated with couples but it's a celebration of life too. You can celebrate it with your family and friends or even by yourself. There are plenty of activities that you can do during this Valentine's day whether with friends or alone. You may go out and dine in your favorite restaurant or food chain. You can go to the beach and have a relaxing time there or you can also do street photography.
For today's episode, I'm going to share with you some shots I got from my Solo travel in Singapore. During my three days solo backpacking in the country, I was able to explore some places just nearby by hostel. I was really amazed how clean the streets are and more importantly the rules being well-implemented to maintain it.
I just love the street decors in Serangoon Road, Singapore. It is also said to be one of the earliest roads built in the country. My hostel is also located here and what I liked about it is that it's pretty close to the train station and it's also close to Singapore's Little India which is also one of the most popular tourist attractions in Singapore. I can tell that the it's very safe in the country because I tried walking in the street late at night going back to my hostel and the street was still lively and the people are very nice and helpful. The people are very disciplined and laws and regulations are well implemented by just looking how neat the streets are.
I saw this covered walk near China Town, Singapore. I just thought of taking a photo of this when I saw the suntan flowers for it reminded me of Philippines. I'm really impressed knowing wherever you go in Singapore, it's really clean and you can barely see vandalized areas.
I was also lucky to have chosen my accommodation near the bus stop so it was very convenient for me to go to places and be able to try their two-deck buses. It's one of the exciting things that you should try when travelling to Singapore and enjoy the city view while on the bus.
On my way to Sentosa Island and Universal Studios, I stopped by at VivoCity shopping mall. There they have this cute water fountains. There's a bus stop going to Sentosa just a walking distant from the mall. I highly recommend when you plan to do street photography in Singapore to always bring a sunscreen with you because it's really hot in the country and also bring a bottled water with you and just have it refilled from their free water refilling stations because a bottled water is quite pricey in the country.
While on my way to Sentosa Island, I got the chance to enjoy this relaxing view at Sentosa Boardwalk. You don't have to worry because it's just for free. Some people do picnic here since there are also nearby food stalls in the area. The view is even much beautiful at night because of the lights of Sentosa Island and Universal Studios. I wish I had more time so I could go back to this place and enjoy the view at night.
These photos are taken at the Central Area of Singapore. It is known to be the city center of the country. This is also where the famous Merlion Park is located. As you can see, this is where you can find the major business centers. As far as I remember, I took an MRT going to Raffles Place station on the East West line and I took the exit towards United Overseas Bank Plaza and just nearby you can see the Fullerton Hotel and you can find the Merlion Park at the back of the Hotel.
I noticed that Singapore has wide roads and street signs are very clear for the tourists and drivers. Just be guided that they also have strict laws that foreigners have to be mindful of so you won't catch yourself being punished by doing something against their laws and regulations.
That's basically it, if it happens that you have visited the place already, please care to share your experiences in the comment section below. Everyone's glad to hear the stories of yours! Just always remember that learning is a lifetime process. You can learn from your experiences, trips and from other people. The world is so vast. Explore and Learn! Traveling isn't is as expensive as you think! There's a so called travelling on a frugal way with a purpose! I will be posting the second part of my Singapore Trip as soon as possible. Stay tuned then.
DEUCES!
