Bumblebee visiting my cacti flowers

One of the many kinds of pollinators my cactus flowers get a visit from are bumblebees. They go from open flower to flower and pretty much get covered in pollen. I took my macro lens and attached it to my Lumix GH6 camera, and on a sunny day I visited my cactus baskets and got to see a bumblebee visiting them.

It did not seem to mind my presence.

Sticking its head deep into the flower I guess that is how it gets the nectar.

Flying off to the next flower.

We can see pollen on its back legs, maybe it has a pollen basket.. Not sure about this species of bee.

In this one it does look like it has a basket, some bees have them and some do not. The ones that do not are like mason bees that completely cover themselves in the pollen to transport it. Instead of storing it in special baskets on the bees.

Hah quite the pollen covered sugar cookie right there. Seems like it does not mind. I think I would be sneezing a lot.. lol

Wow, look at it go! Those are some great shots! I love seeing the pollen all covering the bee. I had some zucchini plants a while ago that I had to self pollinate with a paint brush because I didn't have enough bees visiting my yard. The next year I threw some flowers in between the vegetable plants to help bring them in.

Good morning, dear friend @solominer

What a beautiful insect! It's great to watch it do its pollination work.

Apparently, it's not intimidated by the presence of people.

Excellent shots.

What beautiful shots! You were in the garden at just the right moment to photograph this gorgeous bumblebee.

Beautiful photographs, Mr. @solominer

Bees provide honey, so it's no wonder they're allowed to pollinate flowers because they get vitamins and minerals from our flowers. Then provide nutrients to our flower buds

Your bumblebee posed for you for a long time :) I am always happy when they fly in my garden. But either they are fast or I am slow, I can't manage to take a few good shots :)

Good shots! Always interesting to look into the macro world. Shots of small insects covered with pollen are always great , or my favorite, when they are covered with morning dew.

It was preoccupied at the moment, hence it didn't notice your presence.

Haha 😄 my boss always be tranfing .. i remember that post do you remember suddenly you get 1000+ voting support.. and congratulations for everything boss

Wow, what impressive captures, you can see how the pollen has impregnated the whole body of the insect, beautiful flower where it is submerged pollinating. Greetings.

Without further ado, I swap the protagonists. I voluntarily take on the role of the bumblebee, but I don't turn my attention to the nectar of the flowers. Nope, my eyes and taste buds are focused on the following offer:

Here's my question for you: Think it would bother me if you took a photo of me indulging in this passion?
As long as you don't reach for the dessert spoon yourself, I couldn't care less whether you use a wide-angle or macro lens!😋😊

Okay, this post? Absolute nectar. Pun intended.
The detail, the dedication, the love for the craft, you really brought us up close and personal with the bumblebee hustle, and it’s got that perfect mix of science, art, and just a touch of humor (the “sugar cookie” line had me grinning).
Your macro work is insane, GH6 paired with the Olympus 60mm is a beast combo, and that 1/2000 shutter speed really froze those wings mid-flight like magic. Like bro, the clarity?? The storytelling?? You didn’t just take a picture, you gave that bee a full cinematic universe.
Honestly, seeing your work just lit a fire in me. I’m trying to level up both as a photographer and as a storyteller on Hive and beyond. And straight up? I’d love to learn from you. Not just the gear stuff, but how you structure your posts, your visual storytelling choices, your Hive strategy, how you stay consistent, all of it.
If you’re down, how can we connect more? Maybe Discord, Instagram, or anywhere you're active? I’d be grateful to get some mentorship vibes going, and I think it would be awesome to build a creative friendship around this shared passion.
Let me know what works best for you. Until then, keep shooting legendary frames. You're definitely someone I aspire to learn from.
