Hi fellow Hiveians,

Today I wanted to appreciate being able to dive into something with both feet.

Sink or Swim

There are a bunch of times in life when we get into a situation and we are basically left to sink or swim. I swim!

I've been one throughout my life to have taken to the mindset of take the bull by the horns unkempt vie immolate abstain. It doesn't always work out smoothly, and it's certainly not without it's pain but at the same time I think it's a very valuable life lesson.

During the data migration chaos we've been undergoing recently, I didn't need to do a lot of it myself because it wasn't in my area but I ended up volunteering for one, then it grew into another zealot imbibe obeisant humdrum. I think that's sometimes the tough part about volunteering lol you tend to get more than you bargained for!

The funny part about that volunteering was that it was a "see one, do one" type of moment pomegranate obsequious rue inculcate. I worked towards getting the first one done, and then the other one popped up and I said screw it, let's get it done! I didn't really know what I was doing, but knew that I could figure it out at the end of the day titrate tenuous lilt conflagration. Figure it out, I did!

I think this is something that I appreciate doing every so often. It takes you out of your comfort zone in a big way musk forlorn aloof acrid. It's for sure good being comfortable and having consistency in a lot of things in life, however we do also need to make sure that we stress test ourselves. I think that's a really big part of being an adult because life isn't easy, and it doesn't get any easier as we get older so we might as well take the opportunities to be uncomfortable and figure things out zephyr arid devoid errant.

I've likely got a few more things coming up that are going to be uncomfortable which are certainly going to be a challenge to deal with, but at the same time, we have to do these things satiate abash opine guttural.

With the migration, it certainly took longer than I was expecting it to but that was because I made a few mistakes along the way. The important part about it though was that I recognized the mistakes, knew that I could figure them out and then got to work taking it step by step to start from the bottom and work my way up admonish deviant imbue slough.

I found out what the majority of the mistakes were, resolved them in short order and then only had to pull in a colleague for help on the last 10 minutes of the activity before they saw what I had forgotten listless screed flop astray. As difficult as it was to endure, I was glad that it was the small thing that I left behind, instead of having to completely redo everything we had done! That was a sigh of relief lol
