I am really disappointed with the GoPro Hero 9 Black mic popping problem. It certainly seems like a hardware issue and not fixable with firmware updates. Come on GoPro it is time to be a decent trustworthy company and take care of us owners. Sadly I will not consider another GoPro product if they are going to ignore the issue.

That's so sad. I was considering getting one earlier.
I did search and seems there are lots of people complaining about the same time.
Incidentally, my search also turn up this video from this biker guy. See if you have see this before:
He turned of the wind reduction in the setting. Not sure if this is a solution or workaround.
I watched it as well. It is not optimal because you have heard videos with wind noise, its worse than an occasional pop. The funny thing is once the camera has been recording a minute or two and warms up, no pops. No pops when stationary on a tripod either.
I would wait and see if it is fixed in Hero 10
Sounds like vapor lock and the car that cannot start theory.
I don't know much about car engineering but this story has been around long enough.

Good one lol.
haha, then you have not heard this before. 😎
Never heard of the vanilla ice-cream problem before lol. But I have heard of vapor lock, especially with the carbureted engines.
