Worrisome

Just now, I heard my mom was in a close contact with someone who is tested positive for covid-19. She didn't tell me earlier when I called her in the afternoon because she knows, that I will be worrying about it.

Though she has the vitamins and all the meds for treating covid-19 symptoms, it's still worrisome to me. I don't know when it will be best to get tested after close exposure to someone with covid. So, if you know when it's best to get tested, let me know in the comment section. That way, I can take her to get the test needed.

For now, we are doing our best to prevent her from getting the virus. Since today is only a day of her close contact with someone who has covid-19, I will be monitoring her condition because I read from the CDC guideline, the symptoms may appear 2-14 days. So, hopefully she won't be catching the rona.

At the moment, she is self-isolating. Since I was sick a few weeks ago, I still have the self-isolation guides and that is the protocol that I also told her to do.

Oh no. Hope your mom is fine and just false alarm. But yes, self isolation is very important. Monitor daily. If there's any symptoms, go and get tested. If not, monitor for a week till 10 days, then take the test. Drink lots of water, rest well and eat balance diet. Take good care of yourself too. Every one else in the same house also should keep monitoring ownself too.

Thanks Eliza! I am currently living away from her which is another problem itself. I will definitely monitor her condition daily and working on getting her tested soon. She is currently having flu which adds into my concerns. And like you, I hope it's just gonna be a false alarm.

Just keep monitoring. Drink lots of water, balanced diet and rest well to boost up immune system. 💪♥️

I currently away from her 😅 so it's a bit sad to me that I can't take care of her directly. I don't know when I can meet her again, maybe next year? who knows !

I think your mom will be okay. It sounds like you and her are more prepared than others are and that’s important. Just having the vitamins and things that will help her body do what it needs to do naturally is going to vastly improve her chances of being fine.

Coming into contact with people that have tested positive isn’t a guarantee that anything will happen. Just keep up her immune system as best you can and I’m sure she will do well!
