Good morning from here, lost at sea somewhere in the Caribbean. Unfortunately, I have had the sketchiest internet possible and even missed my own deadline for posting a new #MarketFriday. I hope you have all been doing well. I am off to a market later in the morning, needing some local spices that I cannot get home. Hopefully, I will come away as a winner.
Despite being far and away from home, it hasn't been all bad. Okay! I am kidding! It has been so very nice and makes one think twice about life and living...and how we look at life. The islands in the Caribbean are a perfect example of it. There is no doubt that living like this is a good life, but despite all those trappings, I think that life would feel good all around me. For me, it is the people that I come in contact with every day. I truly believe that you can feel the heart of goodness when you come in contact with it. It radiates.
Today is #MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle (Denise, that's me!!) Join me as we share our markets across the globe. I always look forward to seeing what you send me! It is amazing to see the different markets and cultures of our friends here on Hive.
My sincere apologies for the lack of communication, life is awesome, but, the internet is not. I have missed putting comments on many posts, something I truly enjoy doing. I have stressed over it and had to be content with being able to read them, Only minutes ago, I slid into port, and made a little hotspot for my computer before I go ashore. I hope everyone has been doing well and life has been good.
The experience of having a chocolatier onboard has been interesting to stroll by and watch them in their open workspace. You can see some of the confections displayed on the right.
It is all about the sea for me. If you live near the water, you know what I mean. There is something alluring about it. For me, it is a healing balm to my soul. Have you ever felt so in tune with your surroundings that you simply blossom with new life, right before your very eyes? You just cannot buy that.
I have a small boat waiting on me, but I wanted to touch base with all and say that I miss all of my #MarketFRiday people! I will be back later today, bearing spices and vanilla, the good kind from here!

The cane is later in the week, but, did get the pure vanilla and a few Mexican spices. It was a fun little run into a nice little village. Gone are the days of really inexpensive prices, but, I don't mind paying up if the value is there. Haha! Sugar and spice and everything nice. :)
I have been gone so long, one of the kids asked if I bought a house here. :) I have a bunch of comedians at home.

I totally get what you say about the quality of life on the islands and that it is a good life. I realize how frustrating it can be when the internet is bad...but do not allow it to steal your joy. There is not much that you can do about it when the internet is bad and I'm sure that everybody will understand.
The sea...and living near the water! Oh wow! Now you're talking. We always dreamed about living by the sea. Now we've been here for 20 years and we still can't get enough of it!

Yes to healing balm to the soul. I absolutely agree. The last time we went to the beach, even if we didn't go for a swim but just being there is enough. I like some chocolates but only as a thought and not really having some :D I hope you were able to find the spices you are looking for.

Still floating I see. I had wondered about that.
How dare you fret about not commenting while floating all over the sea. That is some kind of sin I'm thinking....LOLOLOL
Soak it all in so it will last even after you go home.
I AM still floating away, although I ship hopped and I am on another line now, a different member of the family, but, the transition was seamless and the cruise ship does laundry. :) And irons and hangs. Yay!

Wow, the water is so clear that is pretty awesome! It looks like a really nice place. I will have to get around and go on one eventually. I think I'd rather go someplace tropical although Alaska would be kind of cool. I say live it up, Hive will still be here when you get back!
Alaska is amazing but, you just can't beat a little sun in the dead of winter, especially when it is cold. Telecommuting? It can be don't on the ship. Mostly. There are moments of no internet, but, some lines, like Royal Caribbean, have Starlink and it is faster than the speed of light.
Well, almost.
Thanks so much, if I live it up anymore, I'll get arrested. :) Below is their own chocolatier. They make it every day, fresh! It is amazing. I wonder if I can talk them into coming home with me?

Happy Friday. This is how it happens when a person has gone somewhere for three days. You are in a very beautiful place right now, you should just relax and enjoy. I also love to go to this sea. By visiting such places, a person feels a lot of peace and the tentions of his life is completely forgotten by him. Natural sights are very dear to the human heart.

Still very cold here and does not feel like spring yet 😆. I'm glad you loved St. Kitts a bit of warmth would be nice. But me and Mhel are loving it here despite the cold weather, still so much places to explore and discover. Kids are not yet with us and we miss them dearly.
