Marketfriday | Shopping in Maracay's downtown

in Market Friday4 years ago

Greetings friends, this is my new entry for the @dswigle initiative where we are invited to report our shopping days, for this we must use the tag #marketfriday.

I live outside the city of Maracay, in the north of Venezuela. In my area there are products that I can't get, such as a battery for the vehicle. To acquire this type of goods I have to go to the center of the city, a distance of approximately fifteen kilometers from my house. Under normal conditions, this trip does not represent a major difficulty, but we are with a severe gasoline rationing, so the little fuel we have is dedicated to emergencies like this. For me it was important to acquire the battery to have the vehicle available.

In that trip I made to downtown I took the opportunity to visit one of the biggest shopping centers we have, Las Americas Shopping Center, is a large structure, with great capacity, with many stores of all kinds, a good parking lot and a great atmosphere. It is a place where you can spend a very pleasant time.

As a consequence of the arrival of the covid-19 many restrictions have been imposed for the stay in the mall. The stores open on specific days, with a few hours a day and the food fair area is limited. You can only buy prepared food to go. These restrictions mean that the activity generated has decreased a lot, which has generated notable losses for all the merchants. This day there was a moderate activity, people and traders begin to adapt to the new normality, we have to accept now we have different conditions and we have to revise our habits.

In this visit I took advantage of going to the supermarket and buy a few groceries, prices are much cheaper than those in my area, in vegetables I can get up to forty percent discount.

This day I took advantage of breaking my routine, a change of air that is always necessary.

This is the report of one of my shopping days, I thank @dswigle for the initiative. I invite everyone to participate, that way we get to know the different customs of the sites, use the tag #marketfriday to send publications of this kind.

Thanks for your time.

Thank you so much @irvinc! I can only hope that it will get back to normal soon! This has become far too depressing! I love your upbeat attitude! :))

I have done my first reading all of the #MarketFriday posts, which I normally do before I comment on any. It has been my habit since the beginning of the challenge. I have told all of you how humbled I am, so many people taking the time to put a quality post together, so that we may share with each other.

To this day, I learn something new each time I read your post, sometimes only a small detail is new, but, it is a process, like building with blocks. Each time, more blocks are added until I understand how it is built, or how you think. Your culture is one to be proud of and I am so excited to learn more each week. I am fascinated by it all. I never like to miss anything on it. I cannot even begin to tell you how much they mean to me, that you take the time. There have been some really interesting ways that #MarketFriday has been presented, all of which add more charm to the mixing bowl. The challenge points out our differences, but, then, it also shows many things our cultures share. When the day is done, it shows off how human we all are and how we basically all care about our families and others.

I love the experience of it all. I appreciate the love and support given to #MarketFriday! Thank you! Truly! Your participation adds a piece of your world, and I have to say, people are interested in is seeing it. This entire challenge has opened up the world to me and so many others. Thank you again for being a part of all this! I am so happy to see you here@ I hope you have a fabulous day! Hive on!!

I really admire your dedication and commitment. Answering so many publications requires a great investment of time, I really congratulate you. I confess that I do not go through all the publications, many times I see a few and I am impressed by the variety we have in the world. Thanks to this initiative of yours we can know each other a little more. I love making these publications, sharing those little details of my daily world. Whenever I can, I will continue to share it. Thank you very much for stopping by and leaving words of encouragement. Stay safe, dear friend.

Thank you so much.
