Hobby Lobby on a Market Friday

Hobby Lobby features many cool looking Christmas prints, including this jolly chap!

Last week for Market Friday, I featured shopping for Christmas ornaments at Ollie's Bargain Outlet. It was a sub par experience.

However on the other end of the spectrum is shopping at Hobby Lobby. If you have never been in a Hobby Lobby it is much like Michael's. Large, bright, yet packed with 50% off deals on Christmas decorations.

I like the fact that they have a good assortment of country Christmas scenes in prints.

As well a non Christmas...

This is what I would consider a decent assortment of nut crackers...

They have a nice selection of traditional Christmas styles...

I lost power while writing this!!! The wind is roaring and the lights are flickering! I want to get it posted before it is too late again! However I want to thanks @dswigle for making Market Friday a jot to do each week!

Even what I call the Monochrome Selection LOL

Of course they have just loads of supplies to make your wreaths and crafts.

We got a deal on these ornaments. Every container has 12, but every one had one ball broken. They are normally 10 bucks on sale for five, but we got 50% off of that so 2.50 for 11 good ornaments... Not too shabby!

You really scored some great deals! Wait! You said last year no more ornaments! You and the daughter bought out the store last Christmas. That was a sceaming deal. Im sure you will find a great use for them. I like Hobby Lobby, but I think ACMoore carries better art supplies. It is a great DIY store, letting you do things your way!

They had a nice selection of things to make a wreath out of, and your creativity could go crazy! Thanks for taking ua along!

#MarketFriday has evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact of what is normal for where you live? These are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I can only hope this to be true.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

  5. Following me and reblogging the post so more see it would be appreciated !! Not a rule, just appreciated, more vision for more views on your posts!
    7. You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. If you don't and someone reads it, there is nothing to tie #MarketFriday to that post.
  6. Please only one post each week. Believe it not, I run out of voting power if you put in many more than that.

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

Upped and reposted

Oh no, see I didnt buy anything. I am just taking photos of what my daughter bought...Yikes, I hope that is still legal for MF :)

I have never heard of ACMoore. Must be like a Michaels perhaps?

It is exactly like AC Moore. That is a good comparison. They have them nationwide and I believe in the area you are moving to. Oops! The one in the Tanglewood Mall there closed permanently in 2019, but has a Michaels and Crossroads Hobby.

Hobby Lobby is good but they didnt seem to have Bob Ross paint. Of course Michaels does as well as on line, so I should be set!

That's great. Never a doubt in my mind. A whole new life. It will be fun!

Thank you very much.

This makes me want to go to Hobby Lobby. Everytime I see those old pickup trucks in those photos I want one. Did you end up buying a cartful of amazingness?

I know there is just something about an old truck in some country scenes.

As far as a cartful of goodies, well they are 50% off so how could one not load up?!? LOL

I haven't been to HobLob since before covid, but I have thought about it a time or two this year.

Looks like you got some great deals !

Love that store.

Yeah it has a better feel to me than Ollies.

My favorite sections of the store were the Christmas nutcrackers (we've been collecting them for our son), the Christmas prints, and the vintage looking monochrome decore! @old-guy-photos

You unlocked the secret to the best way to shop when you don't plan on buying anything -- take photographs, tax free!🎁🎄🎅

Yes and I use the same trick sometimes when debating on keeping or tossing some item like a craft the kids did 20 years ago. I take a pic and pitch.

There are some really good paintings for sale, I personally like a winter wonderland or snowy village painting, I will buy such kind of painting when I will have my own home.

Traditional Xmas decors are my favourite though I don't mind adding modern decors as well. I haven't been to any decor shop so far, I will start checking the mall next week.

You got there lots of a selection. So fun to buy, oh. wallet will get empty.
