The latest trend in Nigeria now is the art of finding one's way out of the country, popularly known as 'japa'. This is in direct reaction to the economic and financial woes that seem to now be the second name of Nigeria. Everyone knows someone that has or is in the process of japaing.
It has now become a common trend for folks who are already out of the country or in the process to look down on others who do not have the plan to travel out at all. You are simply not ambitious if you are not actively making plans to leave the country in search of greener pastures.
Unfortunately, many innocent people have caught the bug. They consider themselves unambitious not because they are not making plans, but because they have no economic means to leave the country. This is a message to everyone who might be in this situation. You can do great for yourself in this country. Everyone simply cannot japa. Where in the world will contain all of us, over 200 million people?
Welcome to a new edition of STEMng Digest.
Who are we?
STEMng is the Nigerian sub-community of the stemsocial community, a community that has been supporting stem authors on the hive blockchain for about four years now. While stemsocial focuses on everyone irrespective of their country, STEMng is specifically for Nigerians. The best stem contents published by Nigerians on the Hive blockchain are highlighted weekly.
Below are the posts that made it into our digest for this week:

- @eni-ola: [Erythropoiesis - The Formation of Red Blood Cell (Erythrocytes)](30 https://ecency.com/hive-196387/@salomijale/pelvis-and-perineum)

We kick off our selections for this week with the same author as last week. This time, the author talks about how the red blood cell is formed in the bone marrow and released into the bloodstream. This makes for a really educative piece for biology, medical students, or just laymen looking to expand their knowledge of science.

2.@alidickson: HIV CURE - THE MIRACLE OF SCIENCE THE WORLD AWAITS

Featuring in STEMng digest for the first time this week a relatively new Nigerian doctor in the making. In this post, he discussed the efforts that have been invested into cracking the codes for the cure of HIV/AIDS, the challenges that scientists are facing, and the prospect that exists in the future. A good read by all means.

3.@ebingo: Banana and Depression (A twitter Reaction Post)

Here is another medical post from one of our numerous medical doctors. This particular post is in response to a Twitter post claiming that a finger of a banana can help with depression. He analyzed the statment scientifically to bring out the fault in it. This further reinforces the fact that taking medical advice on social media can be suicidal.

4.@oluwatobiloba: Sleep Apnea; A very serious Sleep Disorder.

Have you ever have to forcefully wake up from your sleep just because you experienced difficulty breathing? You may have experienced what is medically known as sleep apnea. This is the everyday reality of some people. What variation of this condition exist and how are they managed? Read this interesting post from one of our own.

5.@bimbo45: Pathophysiology of Secondary Headache

It is all about medical articles this week. Our last selection for this week talks about headache. Not just ordinary headaches but the ones with underlining disorders, otherwise known as secondary headaches. The variations that exist, diagnosis, and treatment are discussed extensively. Head over and give it a go.

And that ends our selections for this week. Do not forget to give the featured posts/authors your maximum support. Thank you in advance.

OK Sir. I will do that right away
It's currently an issue Nigeria will have to face soon.. tech and medical professional are leaving daily, where will the development come from. Political dongoes have sent the money out for keeps to, so we go there to use them, so they say.
But you re and and will always be a slave anywhere else aside home.
The last sentence is the undiluted truth. I prefer looking for ways to earn FX while being in Nigeria than being a second-class immigrant in some faraway country.
