This replica of a turtle ship is found under Gwangwhamoon square in Seoul. Kids go inside it and play around a little. Who am I kidding? I go inside the ship and pretend I am defending the country with the great Admiral Yi Sun-shin. The problem is in history no matter how great this Admiral was he finally couldn't keep the pressure off and he went down with his ship. This makes him a very admirable Admiral.
On another perspective half way around the world and two hundred years later we find the leaders stick around until they become dinosaurs. They are voted in as the lesser of two evils. Maybe they are really good people. I don't have anything about people in their eighties. Moses just starting leading when he was 80. Of course he had forty years of training in the wilderness first. He learned to take care of sheep and walked twenty miles a day in his sixties taking the sheep out to find pasture. He was mentally and physically ready to lead a nation. Still they wandered for forty years^^
This following art is made from coffee. It is a picture of the current American President. It is on display in an art gallery in Cheonan, South Korea.
I really don't know how to feel about this guy, but he needs a lot of prayer.
Nothing is easy today. The subject teachers in elementary school are usually around for only a short time and substitute teachers take their place. Usually they knew they would have a health emergency so they chose not to teach homeroom this year. As of this month I already taught with six different subject teachers. I honestly can't remember all of their names off hand let alone the kid's names. The funny thing is the yesterday one of the graduates from our school met me at the gate and said, "Hey it's KimchiSam hashtag KkakDoogie." They never forget and that's what makes putting the extra effort worth while.
I may never be the Admiral Yi Soonshin, but in Korea I am these kid's teacher and they remember. I have less years ahead of me before retirement than I have behind me. Maybe if I play my cards right that retirement can be a little sooner. Either way I am buying a pizza on the way home and having a party tonight.

This art looks like his head is on fire(correct me if I'm wrong). That seems scary. Did the Korean people and the president of America have a fallout? Because the art work says a lot.
This particular artist saw quite a few elite Americans from a coffee perspective on fire. It was a disturbing exhibit, but made me think that these people with power and positions are constantly under fire. Among them were some singers, movie stars billionaires and politicians.
Oh now I see it from a different perspective. A more real perspective.

Art is sometimes a reflection of a time or nation but many times just what is inside burning to get out. It's a strong picture.
What I know about the artist is that he and his wife struggled a lot with many failed businesses and with the broken pieces created art. There is more about the artist here:

Art really doesn't have an answer, but asks us to think and this one did stick in my mind. I'm glad there is some freedom of speech in art.
