RE: Web2, 3 and me.

it gets hammered by link sharing bots daily I suppose so they have quite a sophisticated anti-bot measures, it helps if you're active by commenting and voting like a regular consumer for a while before maybe you start sharing.

Yes, I read into your and the other's posta about that. But I didn't find reddit interesting enough to start a whole new social media just to spread Hive. I rather spend that time on Hive itself 😅

I still want to bring more people in, but mainly locals. I miss to have a few people from my community here, being able to post and tag them when we do things together, or have them comment or discuss our posts further in private. Hence,I share on Facebook whenever it's somewhat interesting for them. I hope it bears fruit!

Writing this post already sparked some thoughts and ideas. We'll see how much more.

That's understandable but some have spent time to learn it as to how to get more traffic to our front-ends and honestly that should be rewarded a lot more than most content here earning so much rewards for barely any views/engagement from others.

That's what I noticed, too. So much auto-votes with little reads and views. I see though that many of you that are longer on chain have build a certain community, and especially the Australians were quite successful connecting their private networks to Hive, having very interesting (and funny) conversations here. That's what I aspire to, getting my friends here so I can have the same.

I think for a first trial, my efforts weren't in vain. I had some bites, some people being like "Yeah, why not." when I asked them if they'd like to join and comment directly. And the better I guide them, the easier it gets for them, the more likely they spread the word. I'm hopeful!
