La educación es concebida como un elemento primordial en la vida del ser humano, la mayoría de las personas pasa todo su vida instruyendose para tener más oportunidades en el hacer diario y asi tener el potencial necesario para competir con sus pares.
Desde el momento de cumplimos la edad para ingresar a un centro educativo, nuestros padres nos preparan para esta nueva etapa que sin dudarlo será crucial en nuestras vidas, sin embargo el éxito de nuestros estudios radicará en la enseñanza inicial que se nos dé, donde viene una avalancha de sensaciones, gestión de emociones, resolución de conflictos todo esto durante nuestra primera infancia, pero que tan importante es para los padres la educación inicial o acaso esta es vista como un simple requisito para continuar estudios de relevancia en el futuro.
Education is conceived as a primordial element in the life of the human being, most people spend their whole life learning in order to have more opportunities in their daily life and thus have the necessary potential to compete with their peers.
From the moment we reach the age to enter an educational center, our parents prepare us for this new stage that will undoubtedly be crucial in our lives, however the success of our studies will lie in the initial education that we are given, where comes an avalanche of sensations, emotional management, conflict resolution all this during our early childhood, but how important is for parents the initial education or perhaps this is seen as a simple requirement to continue studies of relevance in the future.
Durante mucho tiempo me he dedicado a observar como es vista por los padres la educación inicial, por lo que he podido evidenciar desde varios contextos la importancia que genera el estudio en los niños en edad preescolar, ahora bien para todos los progenitores es necesario que el niño sea ingresado a un centro infantil al cumplir los tres años de edad o en su defecto antes en maternal, la mayoría de los padres visualiza estos espacios como algo multifuncional, donde cuidan y educan a sus hijos.
En base a lo anterior cabe señalar que desde el inicio de la pandemia todo cambió al punto que la educación inicial ha quedado como una de las menos importantes, lo que ha provocado que esos primeros pasos queden castrados completamente. Durante el año de confinamiento las docentes de educación inicial han tenido que valerse de muchas estrategias no solo para enseñar desde casa a los infantes, si no para que los padres no deserten en el proceso con sus hijos, dado que los niños pequeños demandan un doble esfuerzo para lograr los objetivos.
Desde el inicio de la pandemia y debido a todos los ensayos y errores que han venido con ella en el contexto educativo ante una faceta que no era común en nosotros, los niños en edad preescolar han sido los más afectados, en primer lugar porque algunos padres que tienen hijos en primaria y bachillerato se ven abollados por la cantidad de actividades, lo que genera que el niño de inicial quedé como menos importante, así mismo se presentan otras situaciones en la que los progenitores ante el quehacer diario y los múltiples problemas no se tomen el tiempo de realizar las actividades que se les envía.
Es importante mencionar que pese a la deserción de muchos padres, es necesario continuar con el trabajo, la educación preescolar es igual de necesaria que el resto incluso es la base de ellas, porque aprenderemos a explorar, hablar, conocer, gestionar, cada actividad dentro de esta etapa es crucial para el desarrollo integral del individuo. Muchos padres actualmente se encuentran en una encrucijada con las clases online y para quienes tienen a niños en edad preescolar más aún porque la gran mayoría no tiene la paciencia para propiciar la construcción del aprendizaje.
En estos tiempos que vivimos los padres de los niños en edad preescolar han dejado aún lado la realización de las actividades, no teniendo presente que en esta etapa, se realizan los primeros aprendizajes que comprenden las áreas social,emocional,cognitiva y motriz que antecede a la escuela primaria, donde se busca que el infante adquiera las competencias que serán la base de su desempeño escolar y social en los próximos años.
Desde el inicio del confinamiento muchos padres han manifestado a las maestras de inicial que no pueden realizar las actividades escolares con sus hijos por múltiples razones: no presta atención, dice que está aburrido, no encuentro las palabras para explicarle, esas imágenes no las puedo realizar y así muchos otros motivos que han provocado que los niños de este nivel queden a la merced en el contexto de aprender dedicándose en casa solo a jugar.
Como docente durante estos días de pandemia me ha tocado realizar charlas online y enviar un sin fin de audios vía WhatsApp para hacer comprender a los padres que la educación inicial no debe dejarse a un lado simplemente porque el niño es pequeño y aprenderá después, al contrario durante estos primeros inicios podemos brindarle actividades que estimulen su capacidad cerebral aunque éstas sean vistas como una pérdida de tiempo porque pintamos o jugamos con el ellos en vez de sentarlo con lápiz y cuaderno.
Muchos le atribuyen un papel simple a la educación inicial,no dándole reconocimiento y valor a todo el potencial que esta desarrolla, esta irrelevancia fue en aumento durante los días de pandemia al no considerarla importante, en ese sentido mi trabajo y el de muchas maestras de esta etapa ha sido sacar a flote este barco, mediante el compromiso de crear en los padres conciencia sobre la relevancia de dar cumplimiento a las actividades donde están enmarcadas creación de hábitos y rutinas, la actividad física, formas de expresión artística así como el inicio de las matemáticas, el lenguaje oral y escrito, todos estos aspectos se desarrollan en los trabajos escolares que se catalogan como pérdida de tiempo o juego, pero resulta que los pequeños aprenden jugando, cada uno de estos elementos inciden en el inicio del aprendizaje infantil, por lo tanto como educadores debemos continuar con el trabajo de dar reconocimiento a la educación preescolar dado el poco interés y la falta de información de la familia en torno a los aprendizajes que se adquieren.

Algunos de los aspectos que debemos considerar cuando educamos desde el hogar a niños pequeños son los siguiente:
- la atención de los niños durante los primeros 6 años es corta, por lo tanto debemos dividir las actividades evitando que sean largas y el niño perderá el interés.
- durante la ejecución de la actividad no debemos ser rígidos al contrario ser flexibles y escuchar al niño será buen punto a nuestro favor para evitar explociones emocionales que terminaran en una berrinche i pataleta.
- usemos materiales como plastilina, pintura, música y juegos para desarrollar cualquier aprendizaje dado que el niño aprende es a través de sensaciones, por sus sentidos, nunca debemos olvidar esto.
- utilizar el tiempo fuera (tomarse un descanso) es vital cuando vemos que nuestro hijo no está prestando atención.
- usar palabras de elogio ante sus logros: que bien lo hiciste! Sabía que tú podías! Esto quedó hermoso! Es vital que durante la pronunciación de estas oraciones utilices al máximo tu expresión corporal, el niño quedará fascinado y siempre le sacarás una sonrisa.
- mantener la calma ante la frustración, por lo general acá es donde radica el problema de la deserción de los padres, es importante saber que los niños cuando no pueden realizar una actividad comienzan a llorar, es allí donde debemos ayudarle a superar el problema y explicarles que todos aprendemos poco a poco no hay prisa.
Estos sencillos pasos nos ayudarán a avanzar en la educación de nuestros pequeños, de igual forma no debemos olvidar que tocar, por y ver son cruciales en esta enseñanza inicial, a continuación les muestro parte de las actividades que envió online para que los padres puedan desarrollar las competencias necesarias en sus hijos.
Estas actividades corresponden al nivel maternal donde trabaje emociones, conteo, colores y manos a siembra.
En cada actividad se orientó a los padres como la debían ejecutar, que elementos utilizar y sobre todo ver la acción como divertida y educativa. Cabe señalar que educar en casa no es fácil porque los padres no tienen conocimientos en pedagogía pero tienen un elemento vital y es el amor, esto siempre se los recalcó para que se motiven y no olviden que cuando estamos convencidos de lograr algo por nuestros hijos buscaremos los medios para conseguirlo.

Many parents are currently at a crossroads with online classes and for those who have preschool children even more so because the vast majority do not have the patience to promote the construction of learning.
In these times we live in, parents of preschool children have still left aside the realization of activities, not taking into account that at this stage, the first learning that includes the social, emotional, cognitive and motor areas that precedes the elementary school, where it is sought that the infant acquires the skills that will be the basis of their school and social performance in the coming years.
Since the beginning of the confinement, many parents have told the preschool teachers that they cannot carry out school activities with their children for many reasons: they do not pay attention, they say they are bored, I cannot find the words to explain, I cannot make those images and many other reasons that have caused children at this level to be left at the mercy in the context of learning, dedicating themselves at home only to play.
As a teacher during these days of pandemic I have had to make online talks and send endless audios to make parents understand that early education should not be left aside simply because the child is small and will learn later, on the contrary during these early beginnings we can provide activities that stimulate their brain capacity even if they are seen as a waste of time because we paint or play with them instead of sitting with pencil and notebook.

These simple steps will help us to advance in the education of our children, in the same way we must not forget that touching, through and seeing are crucial in this initial education, below I show you some of the activities that I sent online so that parents can develop the necessary skills in their children.
In each activity the parents were guided on how to execute it, what elements to use and above all to see the action as fun and educational. ENGAGEtokens.La educación a distancia ciertamente afirma buenos resultados entre esos los que mencionas de la incorporación de los padres en el proceso de enseñanza, pese a ello y desde mi experiencia el término "castrar" puede sonar fuerte pero para mí no es un secreto como se ha desaparecido la educación inicial es mucho de mis niños y esto debido a: abuelas analfabetas, padres en el exterior, tías despreocupadas o adultos, madres y padres que no pueden lograr ser impulsores del aprendizaje y más cuando muchos de ellos me dicen: no puedo, luego lo aprenderá, está pequeño para eso, no tengo tiempo , todas estas aseveraciones dejan al infante inutilizado al abanico de oportunidades, se podría discutir muchos puntos en relación a esta situacion pero la realidad parte de muchas vértices. I'll be honest, my initial response to this post was not favourable. However, after chatting with the lovely @ryivhnn, I realise I have a bias. You see, my daughters were failed by the school system in different ways (in England and Australia), which is why I decided to change to educating them at home. So I'll take this as an opportunity to just put some thoughts forward from the perspective of a mother who has experienced both the school system (not all bad, incidentally) and homeschooling.
I realise something could be lost in translation here, but for many homeschoolers learning through play is key, so this phrase feels like it's separating education from play and writing play off as useless. When you take something from the realm of fun then children and even adults aren't going to be able to find any passion or interest in it.
While some parents could just be making excuses, because they are struggling, my initial response here is that if the children don't pay attention or find it boring, then what is being done wrong in the material provided? The right kind of material, if put out on a table in reach of children, should grab their attention enough that they want to interact with it or ask what they can do with it. Of course, every child is going to be different in what grabs their attention, so different options could be useful as well. I realise that what you as a teacher provide the children may be dictated by the school system, so I don't know if you have any influence here, but it could be an option if you do.
The forced approach to learning at an early age can put someone off learning for life and that's the last thing anyone wants. My youngest daughter was put off reading by the school's approach and it took me months to undo that. I'm an avid reader myself, so I was heartbroken to think she might miss out on all that literature. Thankfully she now, no longer has an aversion to reading and has spent many hours absorbed in novels.
I also agree with you in that sense, not always the experience in early education in schools is the best, I am even one of those who think that forcing children so young to comply with a schedule, a program that sometimes becomes tedious and exhausting takes them away from the real objective. I am not saying that all teachers are bad or careless, on the contrary, I think there are many good teachers, but they will never be able to give personalized attention to a child when they have a classroom with at least 20 students, while at home the attention is focused only on the student. I don't know if I'm explaining myself well but I think that home schooling for the initial stage is a marvel.

I believe that the majority of teachers are very good. Few go into the profession if they don't have the best interest of the children at heart. Often it's not so much the teacher themselves, but the system rules they have to work within which can cause them to fail to cater for some of the children. The only teachers I've encountered who still excel for every pupil have been ones who work tirelessly, putting in endless hours at home in order to reach every pupil's need. I've had teachers admit to me that their hands are tied with regards to what they can provide for my eldest, who was way ahead of their scope at times.
Sadly, I've also encountered the odd teacher who just didn't really care about the children or showed favouritism. One of these types of teacher was the turning point for me taking them out of the school system.

I also recognize that there are some aspects that the post touches on that are interesting and good advice such as lowering stress when educating our children at home. I think that one of the biggest mistakes made by teachers, and I say this with full knowledge of the facts because I am a teacher, is the excess of tasks that make both the child and the teacher to be too busy.
We have a saying in English, "quality over quantity". Indeed, often much more is learnt and retained with quality input than a lot of input.
Would I be right in guessing that the excess amount of tasks isn't always something the teacher can control, but what comes from higher up?

Admito que la educación a nivel mundial a tenido sus aciertos y desaciertos, en ese sentido los padres comprometidos han buscado estrategias para formar a sus hijos, de tal forma que su aprendizaje sea el más idóneo para si hacer diario.

Aclaro que cómo maestra de preescolar estoy conciente de la importancia del juego y sobre todo su papel en la primera infancia "aprender jugando es el lema" ahora bien aunque los.niños realizan el juego este para que sea aprovechado debe tener una intencionalidad a fin de poder obtener la respuesta cognitiva en ellos, esto no quiere decir que durante el juego libre el niño no aprenda de forma inconscientemente.
Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con esto la atención en los niños es muy corta y esto producto de su poca madurez cerebral, por lo tanto el uso de recursos adecuados nos dará mejores resultados que un lápiz y papel, soy participe de ser disruptiva en el aula, para mí la innovación es clave en un aula de clases.
Exactamente me sucedió lo mismo con mi hijo, la rigidez de su maestra y su importancia para ella en solo cumplir con los contenidos del grado nos llevó muy malas experiencias, sin embargo las logramos superar pero aún quedan secuelas.

Hola, realmente me intereso este post, como madre primeriza he leido lo importante de la estimulacion temprana. Realmente con el trabajo es difícil, pero es muy importante hacerlo. Tampoco hay que dedicarle tantas horas, ellos se aburren, les da hambre o sueño
Así mismo, iniciar cada proceso en nuestros niños es vital durante los primeros 5 años de vida y aunque la tarea no es fácil siempre como madres logramos el objetivo por lo que estoy segura harás la tarea con amor y constancia.
