Scanning starters...

Found, starter:
Ark Scientist

Notes:
Can equip Scientific Crew, Items and Ship.

Ship:
Ark Ship "Orwell 1", recommissioned for scientific missions.

Ship_Ark1_900.png

Museum: grants bonus happiness to citizens if ship is in good status (more for scientific citizens)
Old technology: ship modules are less reliable and much harder to upgrade; they are also easier to repair with cheap materials.
Ark vessel: grants 4 special installations with wildlife and plants.
Exploration vessel: good capacity for Planetary scans.

Officers

Exploration Officer, Research Officer, Preservation Engineer.

Exploration Officer is a fast investigator (even useful on EVAC because of Speed)
Research Officer is an all around fast researcher.
Preservation Engineer can capture plants and wildlife.

Officer examples:

S2_Officer_Exploration_900.jpg

Crew

Has medical and scientific crew.
Has multiple research tasks available.

Xeno-Analyst (for Planetary reports)
Bioscientists (x2) (for research)
Animal Handler (to manage captured wildlife)
Lab Scientist

Two crew are also versatile; they can be put in any ship:

Space Surgeon (versatile)
Life Searcher (versatile)

Some crew examples:

The Xeno-Analyst will lead special research missions on your planet.

The Lab Scientist will support your inventions with faster and more accurate testing.

Other

Can choose between equipping Research Suits, or a Rare Plants Collection, both options giving additional research opportunities.

Research Suits are great equipments for exploring toxic areas.

A Rare Plant Collection will give you six plants from a randomized table.

Tomorrow

All starter contents have been designed and all 42 cards will be opened soon.

Tomorrow you shall receive information about another starter:
The Elected Leader.

Here is his ship:

Some dates

Please remember there is currently a hackathon on HIVE: developers go here!

Since May 1st, we have released more than 70 fixes and features to our playable alpha, some of them summarized here. This made our version D ready.

Our top score in version D.31 seems to be @palasatenea with over 1000 points, but I noticed players like @Apprentice001 were also doing good in previous versions! There still are important problems in our alpha build but at least we have put major features into the hands of players.

With everything as planned we have then moved as scheduled to design the entire card collection. In May we are likely to spend two thirds of our time on cards and market features!

I just need some time to test the broadcasts and technicals (and put a juicy effect), adjusting from today this gives the following dates:

Starter Opening on May 8th - this Friday!

It is a guaranteed now - designing took me 1 more day than planned, but now it's done!

Contracts!

Now, let's speak of another EXODE major element - Contracts.

They are to be activated very very soon now. Contract opening follows Starter Opening just by "about 3 days"; I just need the time to make it right!

All contracts will also receive "1 bonus drop" already, as some kind of May gift. This means on Contract Opening day, all your contracts will be awaiting your clicks!

After that, contracts will each have their own "Special Day", meaning the day when they will drop.
Oh, maybe you wanted a look at some cards?
Here is one!

Note the cloaking. And turbospeed. And the deadliness of it all.

Boosters!

Wait, there is more in EXODE!

Boosters are where you will find plenty of options for your games.
How about finding an Elite Ark Ship for your Ark Scientist?
Or Elite versatile characters to boost any ship?

Or individual weapons, so that you begin EVAC with them equipped already?

Booster opening will follow just after Contract Opening day.

There are many things to be found on starters, from some 20 new ships, to new weapons, equipment sets, passengers...

And speaking about characters, we have added another epic one:

A superb military commander, but watch out for his possible 'Secret Agenda'.

So many cards revealed today!
And I have dozens more already to share this week!

But this will have to wait for another post - see you soon in EXODE!

Note that this is alpha and card traits and stats may be changed at any time for balance or gameplay.

EXODE is a space colonization game on HIVE.

It is currently in playable alpha. We are still only one week in its alpha and many features will be added in May. Playing it needs a 8 USD Starter and the game accepts HIVE coins, STEEM coins and Paypal.

More information about EXODE can be found on our website, our Discord, or multiple posts such as this one about our epic characters, or this trailer made by a fan, or this review or this one .

The Ark Scientist starter sounds extremely interesting! I can't wait to play with that one. Also can't wait for the Elected Leader reveal. The cards look stellar!

C'mon people!, this gonna be great, if you're fan of sci-fi and rpgs is the game for you.

It looks that players who chose Ark Scientist Starter have to practice with cargo load during Evacuation Scene. The ship is based on old technology but it seems that it can be compensated with cargo load :)

Woo looking forward to opening my packs!

Looking awesome!

Thanks for the mention @Elindos. These card designs are looking good. Great updates, and looking forward to it.

That's some amazing artwork right there!

These are great designs!

Thanks for the great news !!!
Where to take a little more time, so I want to catch everything.
It's nice to see the EXODE creation and revolution process from the first days.

Спасибо за прекрасные новости!!!
Где бы взять еще немного времени, так хочется все успеть.
Приятно видеть процесс сотворения и революции EXODE с первых дней.

Everything is possible ... But, I will definitely not draw conclusions from a few resources. @elindos can you comment on these similarities somehow? I am sure there should be a logical explanation.

Hello @cranium, sorry if I did not see your comment right away.

Billthecipher (formerly the person who had been banned from our discord under another nick after trolling there) also was the person who previously, on another post, spread news about my personal life in the comments.

I had to answer there, but I don't plan to look at all the places where he copies/pastes his elements. I have to speak on the third person here, which is extremely impolite and I would rather not, but I lost hope for now on this one.

As you can see here, he multi-replied to all the comments in here, spending some energy.

So, about the answer now.

As mentioned in multiple posts previously, including a comment reply to Jacob Peacock above: (made 2 days ago and before these questions)

All our artists are paid, and we paid for these arts.

As mentioned in some places, Luca Oleastri is a very productive stock artist and his works have been found very fitting for the EXODE universe.

I have been featuring Luca's arts even when EXODE was first imagined some years ago, and since then he has been making more interesting arts, and again I find them fitting for our theme.

Luca is an amazing sci-fi artist. Not only that, but I also believe EXODE is a great place to give story, meaning and purpose to his art.

We are in 2020 and stock artists have been going on for some 15+ years, it's time they are paid some respect. They learnt to work with no client, and have their art able to be featured in multiple projects instead of committing them to one (which might be unreleased etc). I appreciate that angle and what they help studios with.

And it's obviously time people understand that when you find an art on internet, it does not mean we stole it, it possibly meant we paid for it. I have a publisher past and have editorial values, I don't steal stuff.

Insulting artists who allow projects to work on budget; or insulting projects who fulfill their vision while still being on their budget, is wrong. And very gratuitous.

Thanks for the comment. I had no doubt. This comment is more needed for new users.

so you got no questions about why those packs are so high and how come you need to spend at least 80 bucks to get some superior card instead of like 5-10 bucks? it is money grabbing scheme. But who needs to ask questions when you are a snowflake

The other day I sold a splinterlands card for $ 310.
My record sale was 1 card for $ 900.
For me, $ 80 for a card that will generate assets is a normal price.

I don’t understand one thing, why are you imposing your opinions on everyone and entering into a discussion with everyone?

mate, those arent few resources. Preety much 90% of thoose "original artworks" can be easily searched on the internet.

@billthecipher We have mentioned repeatedly that we use Luca as stock artist, and of all the references you are speaking about these are mostly about Luca Oleastri fine illustrations. He makes up for a large part of our existing alpha collection.

Our original creative artists are also working, Shino on the Yakuza, Ignacio on ships, but that cannot cover the large volume we release in May.

As for finding arts on internet, we also purchase arts from existing portfolios; an art there does not mean we don't purchase it.

Even AAA publishers use existing arts (or even nicely made fanarts for some WOTC games) and stock audio, musics, and even stockarts.

You may have found we accepted people commenting about the quality of our arts without correcting them about who did the work on the illustration, who did the UI work, and from what. That's a lot of detail.

There was no place to send a comment them about it, as it was considering a minor issue, if even one, so that would be a bit offending to go at anyone feeling proud of the art. Also, this art was selected, paid for, in due process.

Instead, I used the opportunity, when asked about "who made these arts?", to explain it better.

That answer was already there before you commented all over the place; and you should have read it as it would have made you understand the situation better.

There was a lot of talk about that already in April.

No project ever had to disclose its full art purchase process, and we went very far in transparency ourselves, what arts was purchased and where. Today, I added that another time, this time to our FAQ.

Please drop the issue and move along.

We are not a scam, we deliver features, and we work with good artists, that's all there is to know out there.

u are a ponzi scam, no product but presale after presale.
Some people are working hard on a game and dont have such things as presale of presales with presales without any working prodcut or not even an Alpha version. But do as you want, you came to the community that doesnt ask questions and has no criticism what so ever.

People have been playing our alpha build for 9 days now. You can't be more wrong about that! Here are our game versions changelog so far:

https://exodegame.com/wiki/doku.php?id=exode-versions

.. and people have been playing it a lot. I am sorry if I could not let this part unanswered.

I'll stop answering these replies now, of course! as I have features to work on for our awesome game!

I see you have been hurt by our game, our presale in April, we have moved on to deliver our features.

I suggest you also find another activity or game to assault. Because EXODE is moving on fast!

I just can’t get over the quality of these cards! I need to have them in real life!!🤣

@elindos I saw it somewhere before but cannot find it. Who is the artist for the cards?

We have two blockchain artists:

  1. ShinoXL works on some of our top arts (like the one of our Yakuza Officer)

  2. Nachofigx (Ignacio) worked initially on fanart but improved so much and so quickly he now works for many of our top ship arts!

But I have to give a longer answer: they are not here the artists on these starter cards. They can't address all the massive existing volume of cards on EXODE; it would take several months for them to make it.

  • Most of our alpha collection is illustrated by Luca Oleastri. There are some other artists there but he is for nearly 90 % of it.

He is an extremely productive artist and works for stock arts.

I think he is actually a revolution in himself because of how profusingly creative he has been, and there is another revolution to discuss here about arts and how to fund new artists (an absolute requirement) but still try to address a game's vision and "stay on budget" with everything ready.

I created the card design from templates I modified.

They really feature a nice sci-fi effect, and gave an excellent idea and render for all EXODE cards.

@elindos Thanks for giving such a thorough answer and pass on my appreciation to the artists.

I absolutely love the card motif and think that it is very fitting for a sci-fi game!

those "original artworks" can be easily found on the internet
https://archiwum.allegro.pl/oferta/-obraz-y-na-kosmos-statek-kosmiczny-45x30-prezent-i7421578783.html
It is a ponzi scam, mate. Start asking questions on how come every single one of the "graphics creators" have been made in the very same month.

Looking better and better!

And all those artists have all been paid.

People use stock music all the time, and stock audio.

You have to understand (or ask them) why, or direct this mocking energy at them for sharing their work.

The fact they use stockarts to share their portfolio should not be used against them or against the project.

They are good artists, these arts are good too; and I only pick arts fitting the EXODE universe and pay the artists for it. And then, I work on adapting them when required.

Also, as explained above:
We have two blockchain artists, working on our other creative stuff.

ShinoXL works on some of our top arts (like the one of our Yakuza Officer)

Nachofigx (Ignacio) worked initially on fanart but improved so much and so quickly he now works for many of our top ship arts!

Most of our alpha collection however came from a third amazing, profusingly productive artist, Luca Oleastri, and we purchased his art from stocks. I have a long tradition of finding Luca's arts fitting for EXODE, and purchasing them.

Insulting artists who allow projects to work on budget, or projects to work creatively on their budget, is wrong.

So, those are all original artworks created for exode?

Hey i dont know abou the other artist but all the artwork i create are original and Elindos is paying me good money to make artwork for him.

I just returned after a week of creating artwork for Splinterlands.

Shin500.deviantart.com

yes of course, probabaly that is why i can search for almost 90% of those originals from the internet, right?

"All our artists are paid, and we paid for these arts.

rember, remeber. Never ask questions, never have any doubts go with the main line and stay calm
