Yesterday marks my 4th-year immersed in the HIVE Blockchain, since then I have seen lots of different projects come and go and learned a lot of new things.
It all started when I discovered STEEM.IT on the comments section of a random Reddit thread years ago. The idea of sharing what you love to do and getting paid for it has always been a concept that has fascinated me in my early 20s.
During the 2017 Crypto Bullrun, I decided to take action and dive headfirst into the STEEM.IT platform. It all started with sharing my music on the platform and my knowledge and love of making music.
Back then there was a DAPP built on the STEEM blockchain known as D.Sound, which is essentially a decentralized music sharing platform (think Soundcloud but decentralized version). Discovering D.sound has been a very valuable experience for me, back then the idea that you could get paid by simply sharing your music without having anyone purchase/download your track was a mind-blowing concept.
Fact that I was getting paid for simply sharing my music every day was enough for me to go hard and become very motivated. I posted music every day for nearly a year on D.Sound until the platform basically fell apart due to people abusing the system (uploading copyrighted music and claiming it as their own work) and an unsustainable economic model eventually caused the program to seize to exist.
Despite D.sound being somewhat of a failure long-term, I still credit my time spent on that platform as the most pivotal moment of really developing and honing in on my music production skills.
After the failure of D.Sound, the entire crypto market went bear and things were definitely starting to slow down and I found myself spending less and less time on the STEEM.IT/HIVE platform.
Around this time is when Splinterlands came around, back then known as Steemmonster. This would be my first introduction to the Play to Earn game model and NFTs. I was lucky enough to get involved during the Alpha stage of the game, however, I am definitely kicking myself for not investing enough time back then because players that have stuck around since Alpha and have been consistently playing the game are now sitting on King's ransom.
Back then, the concept of play-to-earn games and NFTs sounded like a dystopian future wet dream, nowadays it has become somewhat of a norm and every new company trying to take advantage of this space is trying to capitalize on this trend.
Since then, I have been going all-in on Play to earn games and NFTs and managed to find some cool new exciting projects on the HIVE blockchain.
The first project I am the most excited about is @psyberx which is a MMO- Battle Royal Shooter Video Game developed on the HIVE blockchain by Royal Reptile Studios.
I've written a few articles about it, you can check them out here.
First look into PsyberX - New Play to Earn game entering the Hive Ecosystem!
Why I can't stop buying LVL tokens [PsyberX]
PsyberX announces Psyber Crates / Marketplace (and more..)
And I am also hosting a PsyberX LVL Giveaway, anyone is welcome to participate so make sure to check it out!

Another NFT based project that I've been watching closely (as you can see by my profile picture) is the Punks on HIVE project.
Project by @blockheadgames which is obviously inspired by the original Cryptopunks project. Only 10,000 minted, pretty standard avatar NFT project stuff.
If you know the story of the original Cryptopunks and why they are such a hot commodity, then you should know why I had to flex these HIVE Punks 😎
I only own two punks, I don't plan on buying anymore but I do plan on HODLing for a very long time. As HIVE continues to grow and as more new projects and users enter the ecosystem, I see this becoming a legacy NFT collection within the HIVE blockchain ecosystem.
I've seen so many changes happen on this platform in the past 4 years and I don't see it stopping anytime soon. So how long have you guys been posting on HIVE? Tell me about your favorite HIVE related projects down below.
I'm also waiting on psyber and have bought 200k lvl in anticipation. Been on Hive since Feb. Got on steem in 2017 and lost my keys in 2018... still having fun.
