A few days ago I wrote about ways that I have changed my content for the better. And I could not fit all of my tips in there for just five points. So I decided to write out another five and talk about them again. These tips are my personal opinions and do not reflect the wider community. These are just my tips, so do what you want with them. But I think they are important factors to consider. Along with things you can do to better yourself as a Hive author.
Clean off your camera lens
This may sound silly, but I am amazed how many smudged mobile phone photography posts I come across. When I am working outside, my phones camera tends to get stuff on it overtime. But before I take picture to post I just wipe it off. So yeah I guess I need to point this out, as I keep coming across posts like this. Yes it is possible they have a scratched lens on their phone which they cannot clean. But I think the most part they just need to wipe down their phone lens.. lol
Be aware of your KE ratio
Awhile back I wrote a post talking about how I have noticed some Hive users power down nearly all their Hive and do not stake it. Alot of discussion spawned from this topic and since then a metric called the “Krampus coefficient” was created. And now you can find Hive users KE ratios using peakd. Some curators will look at this and decide if they want to upvote or not. So its best to keep your KE ratio as low as possible. Otherwise you may miss out on potential votes. If your KE ratio is high, you can lower it by staking more of your rewards or buying and powering up Hive.
Reply to your comments, all of them
It is hard to see a great post full of great comments and the author never responds to them. If someone took the time to comment on your post, the least you can do is reply. It can be short, but just take the time to acknowledge them. If its a bot comment, I get it.. skip it. But if its from a real person they deserve a reply. Its fine if you do not reply right away, but do not forget about replying.
Use creative titling
Find new ways to describe your posts, making sure to grab attention. Also consider the first hundred words of the post will show up as a preview. So they should be something that grabs attention the best as possible.
Do not overdo the post footer
I have seen short 100 word posts, followed up by nearly a page of just “filler” afterwards. Its usually banners, links or quotes and it never changes post to post. And I feel this is a easy way to increase your word count in posts but always including these footers. But for curators it gets tiring of seeing and I do not think they may be getting the results they were hoping.
#7: Use references for previous posts and supporting stuff in the text directly!
e.g. "A few days ago I wrote about..."
Ah good point, this is something I should make use of more.
very helpful. thanks so much for making these posts to lift others up...we rise together, I believe...now I have some things to learn and understand better from simply how to resize my images even to what in the world is markdown...and these things are more important than ever as I will soon launch some classes (i'll make a post or two to tell everybody all about it)...In these classes my intention is to utilize Hive as a tool for my students by asking them to get on board and create a blog at least once per month. If I can guide them better and better to make great posts and feel satisfied, we all rise together exponentially...they will learn more and also at a greater pace, etcetera. bueno..enough about my excitement. thank you for unknowingly adding to it! Big kiss

Glad you enjoyed my tips.
🤗
Wow!! I have to go First and read up the previous post via tips on Hive and coming back to this particular 5 tips...
I guess I get to know more about KE after the discord meeting with @ph1102 where we we discussed about KE and the important....
I will linked clearing of Camera Lens with Quality Post, because when I intend to give a quality post or content then I should have it in mind that everything is going to be quality....
These are wonderful and strong tips that every author in hive that want to grow will have to implement along side with self discovered tips....
Oh that is good @ph1102 is being a good Hive mentor to you. That is quite important here.
Hah yeah its the little things that can make a difference in the end.
Exactly, I'm glad that you also gave it out here..
It gives me the strong believe that it's just the fact...

Thank you so much!!
Great to hear that you found useful information in the #HHHLive show! 💜
Yes!! Sure I did.. I also hope to found it more helpful and useful in Soon to come...
Replying to comments is huge. I think that is the single best thing I have done to help grow my account. commenting is so huge! I like the idea of creative tilting, but I think sometimes I come up with a clever title that is hilarious to me, but falls flat with others. I think I get more hits than misses though!
Indeed it is, can sometimes take as long as it takes to write a post to respond to them all. But I think it is important.
So true, I try to change my titling around once in awhile to see what works better.

have a cover image
lol the only image I had I was thinking of using in this post was what google suggested when I look up krampus coefficient ratio.
then figured it would be better without a cover image in that case.
All i understand but i cant understand .. boss why you suddenly make this post 📫.. i realy noted that love and respect from my side ❤️
Glad you understood what you could. I think its important to express my thoughts.
My target is 4000$ invest in hive with curators suport thanks 😊
Sincerely I'm just reading through this your post and I'm very much appreciated for seing this from you, I've learnt some skills from the tips you dropped. Thanks for sharing this for people like me to benefit
Glad you enjoyed my post.
I am well aligned with all the points you discussed above. I got to know about KE recently and I am building my HP currently as hive price is low. Its helping me bring my KE down. Lets hope more people starts building Hive power and stops selling.
Thanks for this nice blog
Ah your KE is already pretty low, honestly. If its under 1 your doing great IMO.
This post is really so information. Over time I also realized all those points that you mentioned. It might be very helpful for one who will follow your advice. Thanks for sharing.
Ah no problem.
I think replying to comments is the top tip here as it encourages interaction and can lead to building a following as well as relationships in the long term.
It is the social aspect of Hive. We are a social network as well as a blogging platform.
Yes it is quite important, that is for sure.
I'm glad I came across this post. Thankyou so much for the information shared. I noticed the "K.E" besides my rep number but didn't know what it meant till now. Thankyou
Glad you learned something from my post :-)
I try to make my titles stand out as that is what people will see first in the feed. Even with my running posts I don't leave it as whatever Strava puts in. If I can slip in a pun then all the better!
Yep, changing it up once in awhile can really help.
Thanks!
Your welcome
Short but on-point tips! In fact, a great way to share some advice since not many people on here have the patience to read a post fully anymore.
Indeed, tried to keep it as simple as possible.
Congratulations @solominer! You have completed the following achievement on the Hive blockchain And have been rewarded with New badge(s)

Sorry for a thing completely off the topic, but I selected you kinda at random from recent posts and people that I remember from "the old times" :D
By any chance, do you know who's taking care now of http://hiveonboard.com site? or who can I ask about it? That @hiveonboard and @roomservice seen in the page's footer seem to be inactive for years now, and I think the site desperately needs one of the links to "great (d)apps" to be removed ~ I pasted a screen in the comments at https://peakd.com/hiveonboard/@ookamisuuhaisha/re-vaipraonde-syeppo but then, it's 4yr old post, I guess will turn into tumbleweed unless I ping someone actually taking care of that onboarding site..
No idea.. I never use that website.
Thank you for all these recommendations. I will keep an eye on the camera lenses, sometimes I forget to clean them when I go to take a picture. Likewise, the titles of the publications. Best regards.
Hah yeah it happens.
Cleaning the camera lens makes a big difference no doubt, I didn't know what the KE ratio meant before now, this is so helpful. Thanks
Ah yeah, it is important to be aware of that metric. And yes that is important too.. its the little things.
did you mention
headlines?
As in using hashes in markdown to make text bigger or smaller? Yeah I use those. And in my previous Hive author tips I suggested people use markdown more.
These tips are really helpful and a great reminder for me.
I also clean off camera lenses before clicked 😛😛
And replying to your audience is really a must , if we want to be a good author... doing it we show the respect who visit our post and encourage us 😃😃
Hehe yeah it feels silly to mention, but I see it so much in posts I had to say it.
Indeed, it is quite important. Glad you understand.
Yes
Feels good to know that I have not gone against everything here that you've written. Nice to know I'm right on track. I pay really close attention to my phone camera as I noticed every cleaning creates a clearer picture. Recently getting the hang of creative titling and I hope to still keep my KE as low as possible 🙂
Add a call to action at the end of your post if you can.
Sometimes, asking a question at the end of your post can foster engagement and new ideas. I don’t do this often but when I do, I see people share their stories and I enjoy reading everyone of them.
Some people want to comment on your post but they might not know how or where to begin, A question helps point them in the right direction, what do you think?
