After sliding below 4c the $HIVE price is on the way up again. I have no idea what turned it around, but others are going up too. It is crazy that the 'legacy' coin is rising faster, but someone may be manipulating that to keep their profits coming in. $LEO is showing up again and also up.
Even when rewards are low I can barely keep up with what is in my feed. People post anyway as they enjoy the engagement they get and Hive provides a nice alternative to the corporate platforms that will make you fight the algorithms for attention and not pay out unless you can earn a lot. The only payout threshold I am aware of on Hive is the 2c dust level. If a post or comment makes less than that then you do not get it, but even at this price it is achievable by most people. Of course it is up to you to gain supporters. You will not get them by low effort posts and comments. You have to be interesting to someone. Find those who share your interests. Create a community to bring them together. That only costs about 3 $HIVE.
I have said it many times, but it is up to each of us to make Hive a better place to be. Do not wait for someone else to do it.

- Musician @nupulse had their account compromised last week. It seems this was down to someone imitating a Hiver on Discord. These scammers are cunning and you have to be wary. They may try to rush you into signing into some new site that could steal your keys. @forykw helped recover the account and offered some tips on avoiding such problems.
- @ugochill is another Hive musician who has a new track coming soon.
- I make no apologies for pushing music here. If you have different tastes then do your own #FollowFriday posts. So I will also mention @selfhelp4trolls who has a new album coming and posted some live jams. He says he will buy more $HIVE if people log plays of those on scrobble.life. That site is growing fast. We can log our music, video, TV, movie, book consumption there and review it all on the blockchain.
- @adetorrent has been travelling in the UK and posted about a donkey sanctuary.
- @molometer is really taking advantage of the low $HIVE price to power up. He has also been travelling in France.
The End
I was inspired to do a country list for Canada this week. I will integrate the extra data people gave me and upload the list file soon. I have done these for lots of countries as I have scripts that make it easy. The tricky part is finding all the people as the Hive location data tends to be messy. That is where local knowledge comes in and I would like to see more communities take on this work. They can use my scripts or I will assist them.
The Hive community is very resilient. Over ten years we have been through various challenges and come through stronger. We have lots of developers and vibrant communities. What we need is to gain more users to make it more viable. Keeping them here can involve some effort, but if we can reach a critical mass then we have a chance. It has to be fun, especially when the rewards are low, but we need alternative platforms where we have freedom.

It's good to see HIVE recovering, but I don't understand why my vote value isn't. Is yours recovering?
I like to track HIVE's price, so I've added a USD-to-HIVE Converter to my website, which also displays HIVE's price. It works best on a desktop or laptop, but I intend to develop a web app for phones.
Vote value should be related to the price. I've not gone up a lot so far so we still have work to do.
I think we are likely to see more new users and old users returning to Hive when the price of HIVE starts to rise.
But what will make it go up?
