We finally have heat again. After speaking to someone, the property owner came by Friday to light the furnace pilot only to break part of the coupler. I had to wait all weekend, enduring below 30° temperatures. Finally monday came around and he showed up to take a picture of the part that needed replacing. He left to buy the part and brought it to me telling me he had someone coming to change it out. Shortly after his maintence man showed up. It took them about three hours to get it going. Even then that was not the end.
The furnace was acting wonky last night in that one of the two pilots had moved away from where it was supposed to be and had gone out. He came back by and fixed it.
We got our first snow yesterday and it continued into today. Crazy River will not stay inside and cries constantly to get out. Even in temperatures below 20 with snow on the ground.
I tried to get a picture of River staring longingly out the window but by the time I got my phone unlocked and the camera on she had decided to feign disinterest by cleaning herself.
She also started cleaning Harry who no longer has a lump on his chin. I'm thinking it was somethink like what happened to Kitty's foot a wile back because his fur was matted even though there seemed to be no sign of a wound.
Aside from Kitty who always hides in the bathroom all the cats enjoyed hanging in my nice cozy, warm room today.
Being able to come into my room is now a rare treat for them considering Kitty and River only tolerate each other yet do not truly like the other. They fight when they come too close together.
Since the begining of October we have had weather dipping into the 60's and 50's so I set up a blanket under the desk for the cats to sleep on that would keep them warm and they do use it but I have also found them sleeping on the cat tower.
