"GIMBAB(김밥)"은 밥과 채소와 계란을 넣고 김으로 돌돌 말아서 만드는 한국의 음식입니다. 주로 한 입에 먹기 좋은 크기고 잘라서 먹습니다. 그렇기 때문에 주로 야외행사나 피크닉 등에 도시락으로 많이 활용하죠. 하지만 굳이 도시락을 싸지 않아도 집에서 간편하게 해먹을 수 있는 음식으로 한국에서 그리고 해외에서도 많은 사랑을 받고 있습니다. 그리고 단무지나 김치와 함께 먹으면 더 맛있게 먹을 수 있죠.
"Gimbap (김밥)" is a Korean dish made from cooked rice and other ingredients that are rolled in gim—dried sheets of laver seaweed—and served in bite-size slices.[1] The dish is often part of a packed meal, or dosirak, to be eaten at picnics and outdoor events, and can serve as a light lunch along with danmuji (yellow pickled radish) and kimchi. Gimbap is a popular take-out food in Korea and abroad.

"김밥"의 기본 재료는 '김'과 '밥'입니다. 밥은 주로 흰 쌀이 가장 많이 사용되지만 현미 밥, 검은 쌀, 또는 다른 곡물들도 역시 훌륭한 재료가 될 수 있습니다.
'Gim' and 'bap' are the two basic components of 'Gimbap'. While short-grain white rice is most commonly used, short-grain brown rice, black rice, or other grains may also serve as the filling.

이러한 기본 구성을 토대로 취향대로 원하는 재료를 넣어서 만들 수 있습니다. 예를 들어 치즈나 참치, 햄 등을 넣어서 만들면 "치즈김밥", "참치김밥" 등의 이름으로 불리는 맛있는 김밥이 되죠. 그리고 김에 참기름을 살살 묻혀주고, 참깨를 뿌려주는 것면 고소한 맛이 더욱 가미되죠. 그리고 먹기 좋은 크기로 잘라주기만 하면 완성입니다. 김 대신 계란을 두르는 경우도 있으니 참고하세요! 그리고 주재료와 함께 야채를 넣어주어야 더욱 풍부한 맛이 납니다!

그리고 이런 기본 형태의 김밥 외에 요즘은 간단하게 끼니를 해결하기 위한 "삼각김밥"도 인기를 얻고 있습니다! 주로 편의점에서 판매하고 한국에서는 1,000원 이내의 가격(1$)으로 구매가 가능합니다.
