Taking the Leap of Faith and the Real Value of Practicality...

in #life5 years ago

Hello again, dear Steemians!

What do we mean when we talk about the possibility of something happening? How do we measure that possibility and how does that measurement affect our attitude towards it?

Chance is an interesting concept in the realm of what is possible and what is not possible. It is also a valuable asset in the hands of those who know how to utilize it.

Some people have trained themselves to only see that most inconsiderable amount of light even in the overwhelming darkness of the night, whereas some can only see the bleakest spot of dark in even the brightest of days.

It is only a matter of our viewpoint that is the determining factor of what we will decide to do with situations at hand.
Have you ever considered the idea of taking a leap of faith once in a while and trying out your chances?

A friend of mine once came up with a grand idea that could turn his life around. When he explained his idea to me, I admitted that it was too ambitious.

He knew that too. He knew it all too well. It had been in his mind for quite a while and he told me that there was a small chance of success. What hit me the hardest was the fact that he was more tempted to let go of his idea rather than fight for it.
Let’s take a look at our lives. We’ve all had these instances when we could have done something unexpected, amazing, or out of the ordinary, but were too afraid of taking the leap of faith and risking our comfort zone in the hope of gaining something better.

Practicality is important, and rationality even more so. But every now and then, some golden opportunities come knocking at our door, and in those magical instances of life, we should not really think about our chance of success. Even if it is one percent, we ought to take the leap of faith and trust in our instincts to find deliverance at the end of the road.

The world is a strange and wonderful phenomenon. The infinitely complex chain of cause and effect and time and space makes the perceivable world what it is.

But the ignorance of men is far greater than the complicated dynamics of existence, for we have essentially allowed ourselves to predict such chain of events with our tiny and insignificant minds that can sometimes hardly contemplate anything beyond our most fundamental needs.

Practicality and rationality should always be respected, but we should not be so reliant on them as to forget our instincts of courage and bravery; our surges of energy that compel us to move beyond the realms of this rationality and do things that are unlikely or unexpected.

At the end of the day, a person who values practicality above everything else can live a healthy and blatant life, consumed by the ordinariness of order, whereas a brave soul willing to take risks will go on to conquer the skies in an adventurous and adrenaline-fueled journey.

Which one are YOU going to be?

Are you willing to put your trust in your own worth and value to achieve the greatest things that have ever been thought of?

In that case, be mindful of those instances in life when opportunity shows its face, AND TAKE THE LEAP OF FAITH!

A BIG HUG!

Very good post Sir, sometimes when a person is about to start a job then he is scared of whether he can work or not. This fear eliminates her faith for her.

Posted using Partiko Android

This realization always made me uncomfortable that I do not have the courage to step forward what I want in my life.
I always wanted to start my own business, but here I am with a 9-5 job. I could not take those hard steps to establish my dream. It's still a dream.
And yeah! I valued the practicality that I am not currently able to do what I wanted to do.
You said, they live a healthy and happy life who valued practicality, and I think I am one of them, though deep inside I felt lot more uncomfortable.
Thanks for your inspiration.

Take a two-week vacation. Dedicate your time off 100% to upstarting your business. Journal what you need to get started. List in order of priority/delegation. Do step 1. Pass or fail, praise God for the courage to try.

Btw, what's stopping you from starting your business after hours?

Best regards.

Peace.

Thanks for your nice advice.
I became a mother and have too much responsibility right now. So taking leave and giving my time to other thing is not possible for me right now.
Another thing is starting a new business in my country needs many government approval. Yes, lots of courage and dedication also needed. I am not able to make it right now.
Thanks for your inspirational suggestions, this is what makes me going.

If we do not stretch ourselves we will never be able to witness all the incredible things we are capable of doing as long as we believe and lit the effort into it!

You have written a very good article.
Whether we look at our possibilities, see positive views and look at it from a negative perspective depends on us.

Excellent post @chbartist, the most important thing when making the leap of faith is to focus on how good it can be, regardless of the result, we will live quietly and without regrets for the simple fact of having tried.

Hi dear @chbartist this is another masterpiece from you. You rightly said that we have to have faith in ourself then only we can do well and keep motivated.
Self-confidence is highly important for self motivation. Have a great time @chbartist

You are right sir if be believed in our self then nothing is impossible in this world. I know sir I am commenting after long time. But I am thinking about a great idea and I have implemented that.
I have started a competition to make reading a great experience with some extra effort.
Take a look that sir. https://steemit.com/steemit/@sumit1998/win-1-steem-in-my-every-posts-just-follow-resteem-upvote-and-comment-and-win
It will be great if you participate in that

Some people call this sacrifice, and many people take Leap of Faith...

Sometimes it is really difficult but I´m sure we can decide how we want to live our life...

If some people think that taking Leap of Faith is because nothing is in your hands to do something and get a result...

In another hand ...!! SACRIFICE is when you decided to take action an take that result with your own hands ...

We have a lot of examples and I´m just want to post one: You can get a job because it include your experience and you know you can get it ..

Another one is...: If you don´t have any experience that´s the reason you can take this part Leap of Faith, Including this I´m sure you can´t get nothing...!!!

Nobody can do the job, it is just in your hands...!!!

We know ourselves and we know how we can work our own knowledge ..

Sometimes we can take Leap of Faith just for help or thinking about others wishing them something especial we can´t touch ...!!!

Spirit..!!

Amazing @chbartist

One another great article by @chbartist. i am inspired by your post, yesterday i made my first online earning just because of you. thanks a lot @chbartist. and please include me in your community. i apologize for not being able to comment daily.

Hi @anil566. I included you in list. Look in the last post. You are always very Welcome. Regards

One of the thing that can help us to take a leap of faith, is the understanding that failure is natural unlike success, failure is part of life that people fail every where and lastly failure is not the end

people say idea is a competition of time . An idea will go around the universe one it ll come to people who really want it . But once its come to them , it ll never stay . If those people afraid of future , afraid of making a leap , those idea will come to somebody who wish it .

Have you ever heard something like this , “ i have those idea long time ago but i didnt do it” while other people has successful do it while we still keep wondering what gonna happen next.

It feels like minds-alike reading this @chbartist....maybe an article on collaboration to follow up on this would not be a bad idea. Synergy builds, in contrast with conflict that blindly destroys quality of life - and it is an optimum quality of life for all that we are striving toward, isn't it?

Keep it up my friend!

@chbartist your blog are awesome . Really a leaf of faith towards can make us great. It seems that you do hard work for it. Very nice blog and community system please keep writing and maintain this system.

@ankitjnv

You should also check out a philosophy called utilitarianism, which is based on whether something produces a result or not and judges things in life based on that principle. Also I want to be included in the list of contributors to this community !

Hi @freedomanytime, I included you in list. See in the last post. Welcome!!!

After reading your article I really feel motivated and energetic to fight in my life. I always try to remember your words and fight for the goal. Thanks for these awesome blogs
@ajks

Great post sir You said that if you do not believe in yourself, then he will not be able to do any work. It is also with me that my friends say that I can do that work but I do not believe in myself.
When I start a work, I am afraid that I will be able to do it or not.
Thank you

This is really great advice. Not only is there a chance of significant reward for taking risks but also, failure often results in a rich learning experience. So even when things do not go as planned there is often a benefit, an opportunity for growth.Often we fail before even trying because we set limitations for ourselves. I think I'll take your advice though and try to be more open to new opportunities and see where it gets me. Thanks :)

Dear @chbartist sir!
The leap of faith gives us the motive to live in this world. The hard and difficult targets of the world are achieved only by faith. We need to maintain our belief in the underlying powers and moral values within us which makes us successful in practical life and move towards the goal. To make your weakest link in your best strong side, make your trust your weapon and give life a meaningful moment. Life can get momentum in the positive direction only when we are practically efficient. Regards

Thank you for pointing out the importance of practicality in one's life.

It is difficult to leave the comfort zone and it's harder when you have people who depend on you.

We always leave things for later. When we'll have more time, money, freedom, after graduated, etc; we hide behind excuses to avoid taking that leap of faith.

In the end, we will always have the doubt of what if

Great post, Mr. @chbartist. It makes us think

Nice post.....@chbartist!👍. Thanks for sharing.

@chbartist, I'm going to confess to normally rolling my eyes at the kinds of posts that you make, but there's something about your style and attitude that makes me put aside my cynicism. I appreciate the positivity you spread, and this post resonates with me. It was the closing line that really got me:

At the end of the day, a person who values practicality above everything else can live a healthy and blatant life, consumed by the ordinariness of order, whereas a brave soul willing to take risks will go on to conquer the skies in an adventurous and adrenaline-fueled journey.

While I don't think the latter case is guaranteed, I know that the former case is, and I'm very tired of the "ordinariness of order."

I'm tired of being like your friend who was more willing to give up and not try because the task seemed insurmountable. So thanks for your words. Take care.
