Well, I waited a bit to comment because I wanted to think a bit longer on this principle.

Humility manifests itself in objectivity.

Objectivity is facts without emotion (usually) and subjectively is opposite to that and depends solely on a person's tastes or feelings.

So proof of humility (respectful, meek, modest, not boastful) would show itself regardless of circumstance or emotion which is being objective.

Now trying to tie this principle to the subjectivity of the daffs, as you called them, I'm stymied :) Unless the point is you either love them or you don't. :)

I love these particular daffodils - they are almost like a double daffodil.
