New Year’s Resolutions

in #life6 years ago

Some people tend to make New Year’s resolutions and the beginning of every year. They make a list of things they wish to achieve during the New Year. This can be everything like making more money; eating healthier; exercising more; getting a new job; be a better person ... you name it.

The good thing about making New Year’s resolutions is that you sit and think about your life and analyse if you are satisfied and how you do want to change it. While doing this you have to be realistic, but it’s good to aim high!
Some people make a list at the beginning of the year, put the list in an envelope and they will only look at it at the end of that year. Sometimes they even forget what they wrote on that list.

To me, one very important thing to achieve your goals is to look at the list during the year and check what you have done to reach your goals and what you have actually achieved so far.
I prefer to put the list on a place where I can see it every day (e.g. next to my bed, in the bathroom, in the kitchen) and not only read it every day but also meditate on it every single day. While meditating close your eyes and picture your goal. Picture the feeling you would have achieving that goal. Picture the colours, the sounds and the smell, picture everything; you have to really live the moment. If for example you would be happy, then laugh. Just sit there, picturing the moment and laugh, feel your abs crunching because you are laughing. Meditate on every goal you have set for yourself and you will see your dreams come true...
