How does one find happiness? This has been on my mind for quite some time now and has been bothering me. Some people say that having lots of money will make you happy, but is this really true?
I had a chat last week with some people who are rich and have everything they need, but they said it is not what makes them happy. Money is just a means to an end and is needed to go through life, but what makes you happy is the things we do for others.
But let us face it, to want to go anywhere in life we need to be happy. Try writing a post on steemit when you are unhappy... it just does not work, unless you letting off some steam. In the work place, happy workers have a higher productivity level, thus many companies try their best to keep their workers happy.
Happiness is actual a choice. You might be thinking that how does one wake up and just choose to be happy and then is happy for the rest of the day. Well it is the choice to be happy with whatever happens that day, it is a continuous choice throughout the day.
Yesterday I was really happy. I was sitting in the swimming pool looking at my family around me and how they just enjoy every little moment together, even if those moments are hard they are still smiling. I realised that they had found something that made them happy.
To be happy it starts with a choice and then is followed by actions to make yourself happy. Finding what makes you happy is key to doing the right things each day to make you happy. Even if you have to be smiling like this:

Happiness is when you don't eat, yet you're not hungry,.When you do not have money yet you can buy and get anything you want. When you do not have a home, yet you always have a place for ever, when you do not have family and friends yet you are surrounded by loved ones. That's a blissful life in abundance.

wonderful post, thank you. I'm of the school of thought that believes that happiness is a choice, but if we are truly honest situations /circumstances do have a part to play in the state of our emotions. its difficult being happy when conditions around you are all going against your will. happiness irrespective of circumstances is all dependent on how you choose to look at situations. its a practice that's improved overtime, choose to be happy.

Nice post. I can't think of a time where I did something nice for someone and I wasn't happy after. It's good to reflect on these times and have them steer us towards being better people. Making people happy, makes me happy 2. Cheers
