"In every life, there comes a day of reckoning, a time when unsettled scores demands their retribution and when lies and transgression are finally laid bare."- Emily Thorne.

In life there are stages and places where we will get to and move from. Knowing what works and doesn't is not guaranteed, but being able to do what will make you rest easy is what you should engage yourself in.
Too many people forget there are circumstances associated with living and the way we factor it into our daily living. Do not live life like someone without a mind, learn to treat everyone well because, there will always be a time for reckoning.

I Feel Blessed!

Telling a lie is one very easy and sweet thing to do and we can all lie on cue, but what isn't sweet and easy is the ability to keep repeating lies to keep the already told lie active.
What does it mean to tell a lie? "A lie is a statement intentionally used for the purposes of deception, thereby presenting what isn't as what is." There is a day that reckoning will be demanded of you and no matter how long you have been living a life of deception, you will be made to face your lies alone.

I think we should all live our lives like today is the last day, that way, we will steer clear of lies and everything else that propels deceptive living and transgression.

Make the world a better place for someone today!

Awesome post @ejemai, I saw a TED talk on lying, and the speaker pointed out that a lot of times lies are what you WANT yourself to be portrayed as. The stereotypical example is someone lying that they always remember their homework, that they loooove football, or (ironically) that they don't use lies.

These are usually ok, but sometimes these things are actually not only lies to someone else, but also to yourself in an attempt to trick everyone (including you) that you are better than what you actually are.
Because of that, I consider white lies very dangerous in that they distance you from reality. That could have some very all-damaging effects, and when you do finally disillusion yourself from all the things you half-convinced yourself you were, it's going to be quite rough. But again- I'm sure this is up for debate.

Sadly everywhere I turn I see deception all round. It is a lot easier said than done. Most of us who try to 'steer clear' as you say only end up isolated and lonely. Very few are lucky

this post have motivated me @ejemai . i will start to be authentic.

Hmm... Lies... This personality is what we should really work against. We look at it as, "it does not matter." For example, if you told a little child crying after you and promised him, you will buy something for him, and at the end you fail to fulfil that promise, it is a lie. Whether white or black lie, small or big lie, it is a lie. Revelation 22:15 God included it amongst those that will go to the Lake of fire, thus "...And those OUTSIDE...... and whoever loves and practices a LIE." So let us be cautious of this. Nice warning.
