Bacon.

That is the counter-offensive for juvenile veganism.

Make yourself a simple sandwich and put a couple of perfectly crisp slices of bacon on the sandwich. If in season, I recommend Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato.

Then provide the little lady with a lettuce and tomato sandwich.

I put the odds at 70:30. But ... there is a chance... that she will ask for facon. In that case ... get some good cookbooks for vegetarian recipes.

:)

My daughter was vegetarian from about 16 until 22. Then, she started dating a country boy. A meat and potatoes type - all bets were of after that.

Sort:

Funnily enough, bacon and pepperoni are get favourite kinda of meat. I suspect the next pizza night will be a challenge!

I have tried facon. It's just not the same!! She does seem determined. We will see!!!! :0D

Sounds like mine.

Salt and carbs. Carb-a-tarian. For a while, it was basically unlimited pasta. She had forgot about the vegetable portion of the vegetarian title. But as long as there was no meat, it was ok - in her mind.

I have had that discussion with her again today! I was like, you never ate any of the veg in your pasta and she was like yeah, cool.

I am all shaky of the head thinking oh dear!

Without going into gory details, she was admitted into a food disorder clinic (in-patient) for a month with an eating tube. The nutrient loss got to the point where it depleted the bone density enough to be declared juvenile osteoporosis. 🙁.

Fortunately, A month of the high nutrient "food" through the nose made a significant improvement.

So keep an eye on the intake of fruits/vegetables. - It can go South.

Crikey that isnt good at all. I am keeping an eye on them. I dont want any south going with these antics

The dramas of child rearing, they never end
