Everything is fleeting

I've been so busy lately and sometimes I forget to eat, take my medication or take a break. My battle with fighting kidney induced high blood pressure still continues, and occasionally I get into stress, incur insomnia and dive into the myriad burrow of fear, uncertainty, pain and disbelief.

It's been a long time I had a hair cut, it's been two year and I don't bother keeping a haircut routine, all I do is just wallow in the flywheel of work, hospital, repeat and again.

Yesterday after a long time I decided to check the mirror, and I noticed I hadn't taken a cut in a long time, and since I need a fresh air and a walk to relax all the tension, I decided to go.

Well, I saw these overgrowth and shrubs on the way from the barber's place, and it reminded of how refreshing it was to just blend in.

Life is fleeting, and unless you've got a reminder of how truly fleeting it is, you're caught up in the fun, in merrymaking and only the tasty thing.

This life is fleeting (again I know it's repetitive, but take a while to think of where you'll spend eternity) choose to know God today.

Anyway a picture of before the cut and after the cut... Still testing my Samsung galaxy S25 FE camera, this stuff take mind-bending pictures.

That's one of the reasons God cursed the rich man in the Holy Book, he got carried away by his immense wealth so he proclaimed he had many years of pleasure to live.

One funny yet sad thing is that many people who think they would live at least up to 70 may not even see 35 or 45. We should see ourselves as pilgrims on earth and that we are passing from this Earth to our real, permanent abode in eternity. And so we should be careful how we live on earth so we don't miss our main abode.

So when wealth or good things come, while we enjoy them, we should remember that life is temporary and one day we will give account to our Creator how we lived it. I always mutter sincere, serious prayers to God to help me not to miss heaven, I think you should do more of that, I know you already do.

I admire your courage and resilience amidst the battles life has thrown at you. You will certainly emerge stronger and better. Keep fighting, your triumph is not far away. While you have a lot of things to be sad about, try to focus more on the good things in your life even if they are minor ones, be grateful for them, it helps.

It’s really so good and important to always remind ourselves of that: life is fleeting. So that we don’t get carried away by chasing after the wind just like Solomon called it in Exclesiastes. This is a reality many people do not want to believe or accept, yet they keep planning but have forgotten the owner of the life will come for it when the time is right.
Thanks for the reminder, Jose. God’s strength on you.

Indeed life is fleeting, what a better decision than to know this God. Good enough you decided to step out and hv a hair cut...u look refreshing on it
The Samsung camera look sharp too

Been a while Joe...how are you doing today ?

Life is fleeting, indeed 💯. Thanks for the reminder to slow down a bit and walk with God's purpose.

It's been a while, glad to know you're doing well.

Take care for the medications and eat, that's essential for your health, eventually set an alarm if that helps...

It's good that you went out for a walk, to distract a bit, I also haven't cut for years but I do that at home when necessary

since nothing is certain we only live for the moment and continue to glorify the name of God for the days he allows us, we all mortals but untill then let every breath a I take give him glory for that is the essence for which I was created, ..... don't bother about life just feel free and trust God there is Nothing he can't do

Life continues on, but I am glad that you are taking care of your health. It's nice to get a change of pace, and I hope you feel better after that haircut.
