🌝🌝How To Simplify Your Whole Life! 🌝🌝

in #life β€’ 6 years ago

We all want a more relaxed or simpler life. But sometimes we aren't sure how to go about it. We assume that all the stuff we have to do, Is normal and inevitable.
But that's not the case at all, Small adjustments in our lives can make a huge difference.

Get A Planner

I love having a planner; it makes my life so much easier, I know what to do each day because of it. On days I forget to write in my planner. It makes things that much more stressful, and it sucks.
But on days I have things written down, I can tell what I can accomplish for the day, And what things might have to be left behind.

DECLUTTER

The more stuff I get rid of, It seems like my life gets more comfortable as a whole.
We tend to collect way more things than we need.
When things are clean, Organized and clutter free. it's easier to access the things that you need and get the things done that need to be done. You'd be surprised by how much time is wasted, All because we need to mess with our stuff! It's crazy.

Watch Less TV

TV is a huge time waster. It's also super addicting. People can easily watch a whole season of a TV show and waste 10 hours without realizing it. Watching TV is so unproductive and will lower the quality of your life as a whole. Even if you can't entirely give up tv, Cut it back a bit. And see how much more time you have.

Get The Tasks You Hate Out Of The Way First

I've mentioned this in previous articles. Often we won't start on anything else because we know the dreaded ________ is coming. Instead get that part out of the way, And everything else you need to get one will merely be a cakewalk at that point.

Our lives don't have to be complicated. We often overcomplicate easy tasks. Next time you feel like doing that, Cut back. And see how much simpler your life becomes.

I don't have a planner but I do make a lot of notes on my phone & calender. Decluttering has always been key for my sanity so i completely agree.

I could do better with doing the tasks i most dislike first. At work I usually do this but at home not always the case which obviously leads to procrastination.

Great tips & food for thought. Have a great weekend @kalinart!

Hi Kaylinart,

Good advice. I need to declutter my life and my home.

Thank you ! You should It should help :)

I agree with you on all counts. I'm not fully in control of the degree of clutter an unnecessary stuff in my life. But I might in the future. Time will tell.

Really i think that it is not easy to lead a simple life. Richie Norton, a bestselling author, said, β€œSimplicity is complex. It's never simple to keep things simple. Simple solutions require the most advanced thinking.”

You might have heard the saying: Simple Living, High Thinking. When we start living simply, our mind expands from the clutters of mundane things of life and develops the ability to grasp higher things of life. All great minds know this truth.

I am finding this to be oh so true. My mom passed away in 2014 and I just couldn't bring myself to get rid of most of her things. I just keep shuffling them from room to room, dusting them and moving them again.

In the last couple of months I have made it a point to purge a few things each week. I think of how my mother cared for these things lovingly, and at first it was hard to get rid of them, but they were her things, not mine. With each purge I feel lighter and freer and more alive, somehow.

I tend to set alarms for a lot of things but that is half so I don't forget it πŸ˜‚
But it is always good to get the boring tasks done first and work out a way to be productive and enjoy it more.

Sincerely, I am not the type that believes in planner because things might change at any given time. I plan my day on my head and try to achieve them.

I push have my T.V away and can'trecall when i watched any series because I have pushed them away.

I sure love my planner :) some how I still like writing things down versus putting it into my phone. Can’t seem to convert digital, doesn’t have the same effect for me!

Great inputs and these inputs are given by many people to many and i always believe that if we do simple things right then we are doing our half job effectively because, life is not tough we make it tough through our decisions and people don't understand it many times and they tend to blame others for their situations or they just say that time is not with me. But reality is you are not with time and you are wasting your time for different unproductive stuff.

There are many work we consciously know that it's not good for us but still we tend to do it because we think that we will miss something if we will not perform it. We have to use our time wisely because time will not stop for anyone so we have to act as an action taker and have to act as an effective actor. You have great opportunities, just it's matter of time and you have to look towards those opportunities.

Thanks for sharing this post with us and wishing you an great day. Stay blessed. πŸ™‚

Did you really earn this much $ from steem.
Kindly answer
I mean is this true

11,000+ followers, almost 65,000 SP, you are doing EXCEPTIONALLY well. If you manage this right I believe you will be set for life when Steem reaches the mainstream adoption phase (which could be triggered by the SMTs when they come).

Not only that but you could write a book or do interviews because you have a story to tell. People will be inspired.

Simplifying things will result in greater productivity.

Decluttering is a good idea and I need to get to work with that :D Always feel that I'm in a mess...LoL

Awesome tips! I agree so much with the TV I don't have TV's in my house anymore. Of course with the accessibility to stream movies and shows edging it's way in lieu of, then I need to make sure I limit the time spent there.

I have a planner too and it had simplified my life so much! knowing exactly how to distribute the hours of my day to get the maximum advantage of it had let me to be more efficient and also have more free time to take care of myself after having done all my duties.

I love all your post.

thanks for the planner's advice

Wonderful post! I personally don't use a planner, but I always write down my tasks for the day on a white board. I find that to be very helpful. :)

I really agree with all of this, I do all of these things too. Recently I've been very convinced of the usefulness of creating a good environment for work and life. Most people's will power is not enough to work against environments that encourage behaviours that are contrary to your goals.

For example, if you have a large TV in the centre of your main room in your house, it encourages watching it of course. Just deciding to not watch TV is rarely enough, you should also change the environment by defocusing the TV in your main space. That's just one very literal example, I would like to write about it soon so maybe I'll go into more detail if I do.

I also have really embraced better ways of planning, and the self monitoring that feeds back into it. I'm going to write about this a bit more but I did a while ago here. I try to use apps and technology for me, instead of against, and that can be quite hard at times, you have to seek out designs which are not subtly against you, such as the way Facebook works.

Also, you might like to read an article I wrote on a technique I called "The One Thing at a Time Manifesto", it seems to be in your area of interest.
