Isn't modern tech a backward step. Once upon a time [as all good fairy stories start] the weather would have kept you home, possibly a phone call into work to say you couldn't make it, probably no phone lines left still connected, and your job would have been to entertain the little lady all day. with no thought of work.
Tell me again about the great advances moderd tech have made.
I remember those days will. Snow days were no work days. Ah, 1 step forward 2 steps back.
It's funny how a lot of places are anti how working until some adverse weather happens!
