Maybe it was not an error. I know that I am currently less than a minnow, but I am trying my best to become one. I am currently a redfish/plankton, because I currently have less than 500 Hive power, but it is very hard to grow my account, because almost no one cares about my posts. I am earning cents with most of my posts. But I am still trying to be consistent, and I would have been happy and grateful for the support.

Someone downvoted my post and commented that the post was dumb. Thats cool, we are all entitled to our opinions.

But then I saw you upvoted their comment and replied saying you found it admirable and commending him for his honesty and courage.

Why would I want to support that?

Not (just/only) that. That is only my opinion and view generally on honesty. Expressing your honest, genuine opinion certainly takes some kind of bravery on a platform, which generally dominated by fake positivity. Honesty is admirable, valuable and should be encouraged in my opinion.

Honesty is all of these things.

And if I am honest, I don't tend to support those who praise downvoters of my work. Its just a human thing. No biggie

Do not get me wrong. I did not even noticed that downvote.
I do not support downvoters (maybe except the reasonable ones, for example downvotes for spamming and for plagiarism), only the honest and genuine opinions.

I am glad you got to support honest and genuine opinions it is just unfortunate that to me it looked like you were cheering on someone downvoting my post.

And dont get me wrong, you are free to support that or not. You are free to do exactly as you like here as am I with my votes. It is as simple as that.
