Rechargeable batteries? Bah! Sure, the promised long-term savings were alluring, but they never seemed to meet the hype. The Sony Walkman isnone of the greatest inventions of all time though. I think it is right in between the wheel and the flat-screen monitor in importance.
It sure is. I absolutely loved mine. I think I loved the idea more than the cost saving!
I just watched this video on expensive vs. cheap AA batteries, as a matter of fact, and thought of the old debates over different emerging battery technologies in the 80s and 90s.
