Show of Power in Aliade
Disturbing news coming in from Aliade indicates that the Gwer State Assembly Member, Hon. Geoffrey Agbatse has ordered the immediate forceful removal of the transformer recently installed by Arc. Asema Achado at the Aliade roundabout to solve the protracting power issues in Aliade.
The Honourable Member is quoted to have said the new Transformer he is about to install is donated by the Benue state government and the powers that be have directed and insisted as well it must be mounted at the same spot to replace the one donated and installed by Arc. Achado recently.
Despite pleas by traditional rulers and other opinion leaders in the area that the one donated by the state government be installed at another equally strategic location, Hon. Agbatse prefers the location where Arc. Achado has spent millions of naira to build and install infrastructure for the existing transformer.
Report says, police are to supervise the forceful removal of the transformer donated by the Gwer philanthropist today and the one allegedly donated by the governor installed instead.
Development should not be politicized.
