I'm ten thousand feet in the air desperately attempting to sleep. I am nostradamusing myself to be awake when this post goes live because no matter how tired I've been in the past, every single time I'm on one of these iron birds, slumber never showed up to the party.

You might be wondering

How is it that this mere mortal has managed to make a post while cruising at a high equivalent to 30 soccer fields stacked on top of each other. The answer is nowhere as impressive as my explanation of how planes work, but its possibly more important to you and definitely accurate unlike....

I'm using a website called Steemauto and this tool was designed, coded by and its still currently maintained by witness @mahdiyari who I believe does not get enough recognition and love from us Steemians for the work he does. I have to admit that this tool as been crucial to us in @helpie and has helped us pull off what otherwise would be a task fit for declared masochists and questionable deviants.

I would encourage you my reader, to consider voting for @mahdiyari as a witness. It's pretty apparent to me that his is a task of love, as running a server of the needed specs can't be cheap and there are many who complain when there are glitches, yet they do not understand the monstrous task it is to run it.

Where am I going, you ask?

I'm going to be in Brazil for a whole week, but this is not the time for anyone to feel jealous about this little trip of mine. This is not a pleasure trip, its not even a business trip, its a dentist trip and I fully expect to experience necessary pain and some minor trauma.

I might not be online as much this coming week, as I'm still not 100% of everything that is going to happen, but I will have limited access to discord and Steem starting Monday night.

I hope to report

Dental success as soon as Tuesday morning, but nobody truly knows what could happen in the infamous torture chambers. Since there is a small chance that some Brazilian Steemian might read my blog entry, this post will also serve as an invitation to suggest things to me.

Is there something that I need to see, a place I must definitely cannot leave without visiting? The last time I visited the land of Carmen Miranda was back in 2010 and only Manaus for that matter, but the world was quite different 8 years ago and Sao Paulo is its own thing I'm told.

In between the torture sessions hopefully I can snap some pictures of unusual unusuals and if I'm lucky (I doubt it) score a relaxing nature walk. In any case, let me know what you think I should do and I will ask Mercury (@traciyork did I do this right?) if it approves.

Unless I find batbutt internet

Songwriter Shop Talk will be a replay this week and @r0nd0n will have to forgive my transgression. The hotel I'm staying at is not questionable per say, but it does not seem to have much in the way of reviews either. Wait a second... does that make it questionable?

In case you are about to ask me - Why In the world would I travel to South America for dental work I would like to preemptively answer you. For the price you can get one crown down in USA you can travel to South America, go sight seeing, do some foodie sporting events(these are fun) and come back and still have some money left over for two lotto tickets.

In any case, I bid your farewell for now... I should be landing right now ready ready for my first encounter with a foreign pillow.

Much love

Thanks for a very entertaining read once again, @meno.

Unfortunately I don't live in Brasil, but while I was reading about your Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt about aviation safety as well as success at the dentist, I could not help but think back to an old favorite movie of mine, one scene in particular consisting of torture, a dentist and a burning question about safety. When Dustin Hoffman fails to answer the simple question "Is It Safe?", the torture begins. So I cannot tell you what to go see while in Brasil, I can tell you what not to see:

Don't say I didn't warn you! ;-)

But seriously though: thanks for your entertaining articles. Upvoted, resteemed.

I’m afraid since I’m just a few hours from visiting the dentist that’s the watching of your video will be postponed, but I appreciate you reading and leaving it here. Ha!

Good luck, Meno. Dental work is no fun. If you get the laughing gas, take deep breaths. It helps.

As for what to see... can you take a picture of the giant Jesus? Or turn around and get him from above
your shoulder. A Jesuselfie would be cool. ♥

hehe... Laughing gas...
I do believe the giant Jesus is in Rio de Janeiro, but Meno is heading to Sao Paulo. With a sore, puffed face he might not want to be seen in Rio.. hehe ;)

I second that motion!
... About the Jesus selfie I mean :-)

Ouuuch - dental works. I wish you all the best and no pain...hope you found a good dentist over there. It's interesting that you go all this way to Brazil to have it done and it's still cheaper then doing it at home. So hopefully it will also be a little pleasure trip beside the dental works.

@meno Smart hombre hehe. This is what a call a double whammy lol
or two birds with one stone hehehe. Enjoy and good luck :D

Safe trip Meno, we missed you, even for one day

Have a marvelous trip, my friend.
I'm certain you'll have many more fascinating stories to impart to us Steemers when you return...

When you feel a wave of "holy shiva-balls!" before or at the dental clinic, just remember that this too shall pass.
