I agree with you. I'm a lecture, I've spotted students using these AI too complete assignments... Let me just be clear and say it's total crap. We are focused on academic writing, critical thinking and research and you want an AI to do it? That's not academic writing at all... And when caught these students claim to only use it since they were busy... Bullshit, you used it cause you're lazy and now you're failing since the AI can not give the quality assignment needed for you to pass.
Totally! They use it because they are lazy and dont want to put in the work! Can you imagine what it would be like when someone graduates and gets a job in a field that they "excelled* in in School and all they know how to do is type shit into ChatGPT. They will get flung out faster than you can blink... hopefully!
