I like to protect majority of my work for three main reasons.
- Simply put, since governments and corporations speak that language, if they ever try to shut this place down or buy it out, I can skip the hassles and lawyer fees and go straight to them owing me restitution for attempting to shut my business down without consent.
- If I ever sell the account, I can skip the hassles and lawyer fees to keep and publish my work elsewhere.
- If I ever decide to sell my brand, actually owning it is a step in the right direction and gives it value.
It didn't occur to me that a Steemit account could be sold as a product. That's a pretty interesting idea.
