I like to protect majority of my work for three main reasons.
Simply put, since governments and corporations speak that language, if they ever try to shut this place down or buy it out, I can skip the hassles and lawyer fees and go straight to them owing me restitution for attempting to shut my business down without consent.
If I ever sell the account, I can skip the hassles and lawyer fees to keep and publish my work elsewhere.
If I ever decide to sell my brand, actually owning it is a step in the right direction and gives it value.
