When we say ALL THINGS, it means everything that happens around you both physically, spiritually, mentally, psychologically, both in Spirit, Soul and Body.
Consider this scripture: Romans 8:28 NLT
"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."
Consider all that happens to you each day! Every little pain, every bitter experience, though you prayed, every delay, and disappointments! All the unpalatable situations that you have to pass through!
They all work together for the good of those who love God?
Its hard to understand.
Let's use just one scenerio to try to explain the way I understand it, then you can explain better for clearer understanding in the comment.
Imagine the terrorist attack of the World Trade Center in the USA on 9/11!
That faithful morning, all the workers woke up normal and were on their ways to work! Nothing was unusual!
A man decided to help his wife take their little son to his school that day and be a little late to work!
Another person woke up late that morning because her alarm-clock decided to malfunction that day and she was so angry!
Another person, the car decided not to start that morning, the mechanic couldn't locate the fault and he had to go by public transport!
The taxi decided not to stop for a lady as if she was jinxed! Every taxi that passed decided to ignore her!
Another woman got stained on way to the office so badly that she had to go back home to change her dress!
Most funny of all, she bought a new shoe and wanted to use it first to the office that day, but got some blisters on her leg from the shoe! She had to branch the chemist to buy plaster! This made her late to the office!
THEY ALL MISSED THE ATTACK AND HAD THEIR LIVES SAVED!
The disappointments, the pains, the unfortunate incidences all helped them to be late to work that day!
How do you look at some of the things you pass through, sometimes we think God is punishing us, or he doesn't even care!
What a friend we have in Jesus!
All our sins and grief to bear;
What a privilege to carry,
Everything to God in Prayers.
Let us, especially those of us who call upon His name in truth try to trust Him because He knows us better and He's got our backs!
