RE: Everything Is Going To Be Alright

An excuse to WFH for the foreseeable future? I notice @nathen007 mentioned 'Torn rotator cuffs'. If so.., these are seriously bad news.

Mine is just about healing from a UX fall last October. They say they don't heal but they do, just takes fucking ages.

Sort:

I bloody hope its not that, It only affects it when I lift it outward to the side. I can lift it up frontward and across my chest a tad. It was totally unexpected. I was just yanking a root. Bloody getting old injuries!

Hows your sleeping? If it's a rotator then you won't be able to sleep on that side for a good 6 months. I had to take Ibu's and Codeine every night for this long and it's just starting to settle. Even on ur back it wakes you up in the night to remind you it's there..

Doc will tell you straight away from the position it hurts and the position you can hold it pain free and I was like you could tuck it to my chest with elbow bent but if I moved it....

Vultures are circling here mate ....get it checked :-)

I didn't go to the docs, it's a pain in the arse now getting an appointment, a far cry from your days here. It's almost fixed now, and the second time I have aggravated it. Climbing things I have no right to at my age does not help.

It's funny you say that. I can sleep on that side if I gingerly lever myself into a comfy position but my sleep was rubbish because When I moved off it or rolled onto it when asleep it woke me up.

I cant lie on my back either for the awful snoring. Been taking Co-Codamol and Foxy Naproxen which seems to do the trick. I have the naproxen left over from doing my knee in on the stairs. If they run out and there isn't a marked improvement I will be at the docs faster than you can blink

Exactly @slobberchops. Tell him. I did mine a few years ago and it took months to get right. Even now I reach out too far I get a twinge.

Do you not realise, this could mean weeks on the sick :-)

They are pure hard on the sick now! It used to be it was a weeks off injury but now I am allowed to work from home till its better. Its no the same! Grrr

Whatttttt? No extra 2 weeks unofficial 'holiday' per year before HR start sending letters? Ohhh dear, I wish you a speedy retirement Sir, or do people have to work from home when they retire too!
I'd never survive these days, I barely managed 30 odd years ago!
It is interesting to see how times have changed though from reading your stories, and of course the things that haven't. Politics and subterfuge in the stairwell is still a classic!
Hope the family is well :-)

You can still just about squeexe in a two weeker! You have to be careful with the frequency and the length. But if you time it right and dont take the mick yo can get your unofficial annual bonus leave :OD

We are good mate, eke'ing it out until something better comes along! Hope you guys are too!

Excellent news! Try to avoid Mondays and Fridays and just two or three days at a time!

All good here thank you. Very busy. How I wish I could share some of the stories about the kids though lol

Try to avoid Mondays and Fridays and just two or three days at a time

Hahah, that is exactly my strategy, it seems to be enough to get under the radar!

It is funny the amount of stuff that just cant be shared on a public blockchain! lol!
