It´s been a while since I posted on my blog and that´s only because we switched apartments and the new house had some issues with the wifi station. When we first arrived and turned the AC on, the power and whole electricity shut off immediately. We played this game the whole night and needed to go out to a restaurant to get some work done. The day after we decided to take a different apartment from the residence and this solved the electricity problem but we are still struggling with the wifi...
Now I am sitting next to the router to get the best signal to upload this post. Hopefully they can fix it by tomorrow even if it´s Christmas. People in Mauritius are celebrating Xmas at the 25th of December which is very different from the tradition that I know. We usually make all the festivities around the 24th and will have some chilled days during the 25th and 26th. But this year will be the first time where I will not celebrate with my family but rather enjoying the workation at the ocean.
What happened the last few days?
We are on a workation as you might already know, which means we combine one of the most beautiful places on earth with work. There is always some space and time to explore new places but having a laptop with me is a must. We also got to know many new people and one of them is Ashok. He is an allrounder born in Mauritius but he has his best skills in cooking. Spike, which is his nickname, is a chef cook and decided to create some special dishes for us. Luckily he is a vegetarian just like the most of us.

After some very exciting meetings, we chose to visit the national park which was really amazing.

Countdown until Christmas
It´s already after 2 AM here in Mauritius and this means it is officially Xmas! I need to say that I miss the smell of fresh baked cookies and a Christmas tree a little but having the ocean view is much better. Also my birthday is just around the corner and I am so exciting to celebrate this day at minimum 30 degrees.

It's good to see you after a while :) everything looks great including Ashok's kitchen. It's wonderful to be in the nature so beautiful, i don't mind living a few days without the technology in such beautiful places, not to mention the fresh and delicious foods.
