I find my beloved never appreciates that my 'dicking around' on the computer might important and she thinks that looking at wallpaper patterns is more worthy of my valuable time. Mind you, she's a bit colour blind, so we need to avoid puke green.
I will say good for the little lady on making that move. I get that people love their meat, but it's a very wasteful industry. It's a lot easier to get good veggie food now than when I switched. Mind you, I do still eat some fish and just had a tuna melt. I'd find it hard to go vegan as I love cheese (the real kind) and eggs.
My kids were brought up veggie, but son has turned carnivore. Not that he eats meat all the time unless he wants to do all his cooking at home.
I do like a tuna melt!! Especially with jalapenos!!
We are quite the veggie household. I eat meat occasionally but not hugely often. I think they thought it was a big deal because the little lady has been my meat wingman!!
Veggie stuff is so much better these days. In the past it was all beanfeast and Quorn!
I think I started pre-Quorn when you had to go to a 'health food shop' for sossmix and stuff. Linda McCartney helped change things for the better.
Makes me laugh when some blokes say eating meat makes them more manly when the nearest they came to hunting was stalking Tesco. As for drinking cow's milk, that's for babies :)
I laugh at that too. A guy I work with almost only eats meat and scoffs at the idea of eating vegetables. He is never off the toilet and has the unhealthiest complexion you could ever imagine!
We used to buy those soya chunks that you had to rehydrate yourself. They were nice but it was a fine art to get them in the sweet spot between crunchy and soggy!
