RE: Babet

I stayed in last night, but this morning there were signs it had been windy. I saw at least one broken tree branch and some building site fencing had fallen over. Mind you, the other week we had some flooding on the main village drag, but I missed that too.

We never used to have these named storms here, but I suspect we're in for more dodgy weather.

Stay safe mate.

It was really mild here, I was almost disappointed. I do like a bit of extreme weather as long as it doesn't do any harm.

The winter will be a tough one!

I don't relish having to fix fences and stuff. We've had a ridge tile come off before, but it didn't hit anything. I need to secure all the garden furniture for the winter. That may involve some ropes or straps.

The thing I fear the most is a blummin leak in the roof as it seems that most roofers in Glasgow are absolute cowboys and it's murder getting a decent repair without being quoted for a whole new roof to replace a couple of slates .

I used to have to fix the back fence every winter. I was glad to get a new one built
