Weekly Recap- Blogging Lessons Learned

What a week it was! Thanks for the support and learning opportunities. Shout out to the Stem community for their awesome posts and support.

Lessons learned:

It is important to publish daily to gain a following. Writing a quality article daily is much more effective than many posts. Quality means a topic should be explained and explored. Then there should always be a focus on reader takeaway.

I allocate about an hour a day to blogging and content creation. I use that time to write a skeleton for the article and then learn as much about the topic I can. My blog has a focus on how the topic impacts myself and others. I always ask myself how readers will be affected by the subject area and what they should take away.

The subject material should be engaging to a blog post reader. I always ask myself if I would really want to read my blog if I saw it, and if my interest would be captured by the title and first paragraph. The supporting paragraphs need to be loaded with source material and need to lead the readers to do their own research as well. I want my blog to be a gateway to further understanding.
