This is a thoughtful article and well written. I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments. Most people are more into "getting ready to reply" than into stepping back and actually "listening to respond". I believe that it is possible to build a more responsive network of contacts if people know you are prepared to actually pause your own life and listen with the intention of understanding....
