Welcome to Qurator's Mischievous Mondays!

This will be a weekly competition that we will be hosting every Monday. We want to see a little more engagement and fun when it comes to some of our competitions so this will be a simpler and shorter competition. Easy to enter, but maybe not so easy to win. ;) This competition will be similar to the Monday Missions we had a long time ago, but instead of writing posts to enter we will now consider only the comments and answers on this blog as your entry to win.

Why Mischievous?

We all could use a little fun in our lives. We would even say that we deserve it, let loose a little and have a go at making everyone laugh or think a little, even if it is a little over the top or pure silliness. Go all out and let your creative juices flow.

Make up your own word right now, and write its definition. Don’t forget to use your word in an actual sentence!

This week's theme : If all the money disappeared

Imagine all the money of the world disappearing. No more notes. No more coins. Nothing resembling the old style of money. We as people have to trade something new, something that everyone can carry around and use to barter with... What would it be?

Last week's theme : Animal Shenanigans

We've all heard that "Curiosity killed the cat", but let's be honest - our furry, feathered, and scaled friends often manage to get into a heap of mischief, and we can't help but love them even more for their hilarious antics! So this week, we invite you to share the best tales and moments of your pets' (or any animals') wild escapades.

In order to be an effective currency, it must be difficult to counterfeit. So the obvious choice for the new currency would be.... unopened cans of coca-cola. Since the formula is top secret, no one could replicate it!

If there was no money, we would all use Hive instead of course ;)

something that everyone can carry around and use to barter with...

Time, skills, and knowledge.

You grow vegetables. I come by and want a bowl of tomato soup. Maybe I trade an hour of weeding for my food, help chop the ingredients for the next batch of soup, give you my knowledge about what to plant between the tomatos to repel pests, tell you a recipe for onion leaf pesto, or spend some time drilling your kids in multiplication and teaching them how to play backgammon. There are probably hundreds of things I could do for that bowl of soup, that you don't want to do yourself, or don't have the time or skills for! I could help spell check your next Hive post, mend your rabbit cage, sort your library alphabetically by author and title (for more food and maybe somewhere to sleep, depending on how many books you have) or take your dog for a walk...

Hey! @qurator I highly appreciate Qurator's Mischievous Mondays Contest. This is great activity to engage more people and know their views on a certain topic. I found question of this week interesting and imaginative. As I get the topic it's disappearing of all kind of money either physical or digital, let's read my views 👇

Money is key element of world trade. If sudden all the money (physical+digital) disappeared from the world, perhaps, people would trade using crops, veggies, fruits and other natural or artificial things i.e if someone had wheat but he want rice he has to trade with the person who has rice. But I heard that these kinda trade and transaction has been made in the back history.

This is what I imagine and how I got the topic. I'm new on Hive and Qurator's Family. I would love to engage in more activities. Thanks.

Interesting question!

At the end of the day, the tokens used in a token economy hold no value in and of itself. We as a society mutually agree to the value of the token and what it can or can't be exchanged for in terms of goods, services, etc.

So... I just think that it would be funny to see people carrying a barrel of oil on their back and use milliliters to determine the value.
