I’m proud to present you my newest track and video: Dreams So Deep

I have so many inspirations to thank for making this project possible. @vachemorte for creating this otherworldly track. @ensh for his fantastic Bjork cover that reminded me how weird and awesome Bjork is and inspired the vocal style! @fungusmonk for the most beautiful melody he sang the other day that stuck in my head forever and also the conversation we had about being more confident in our vocals. And an extra special thanks to @greatdabu for giving me this absolutely perfect bit of poetry to work with, <3’s to all of you!

And the biggest thank you in the world to unknown detroit family on vacation 1962 for filming this absolutely stunning and ethereal aquatic dance routine. When I found this footage I felt like I tapped into a synchronicity and all the pieces of this project just snapped together in my head, I knew exactly what I had to do. I only wish I could thank them directly.

When I was editing the sound and visuals, as usual when things were done I watched and listened to it on loop many times as a last pass to see if I wanted to change anything and I started getting the strangest feeling of nostalgia or perhaps deja-vu? I almost felt as though I didn’t create this, that it was already out there in the universe and I was lucky enough to find it. I feel truly BLESSED (stealing this from @everlove!) to have joined this community, it’s given me a surge of creative energy that I am truly thankful for. The entire creation process was extremely emotional and cathartic for me and really took me on a journey. I hope it imparts the same feeling to you and you can join me for three minutes in my inner world.

I suppose that’s enough sentimental preamble, enjoy <3

Dreams So Deep
++++++++++++
every night
in dreams so deep
we fall asleep
and plug into
infinity
signs and symbols
start to flow
what will come
where we’ll go
who we’ll meet
how we’ll know
what’s probable
and possible
we choose
the ticking clock of time
starts calling us
we rise again
and fall back into the day
forgetting
in dreams so deep

Woah girl--this is AWESOME!!!!

And the biggest thank you in the world to unknown detroit family on vacation 1962 for filming this absolutely stunning and ethereal aquatic dance routine

So you did the vocal and made the video, but I don't quite understand how this Detroit family fits in the bigger picture here.

I'm loving this and your voice, oh my!!! --I love Bjork and your style has the same feeling. So glad to hear you.

I'm glad to have blessed you with a blessing and grateful to see it coming up in your world. Also, your rewards on this post right now are $12.34--A perfect little sequence no doubt!

Thanks for helping me find you here. I'm looking forward to more amazing art from you @juliakponsford.

The footage in the video is archival that I found, it was a family on vacation and they went to an aquarium in Florida and filmed this! It was titled unknown family Detroit 1964!

Aha---I get that! Interesting title--great works!

such a good turnout! I love everything about this. Give a meaning to my music.

Thank you so much for the track <3

Very cool. Just want to mention Electric Eyes has become one of my current favorite songs, and I listen to it multiple times a day. I want to genuinely thank you for your creations. I love music and it get's me through life. Don't stop creating. I hope you can get noticed out there.

Aww that's awesome, music is so therapeutic both to create and consume :) I'll never stop making music even if no one wants to listen, thanks for the comments :)

Thanks for the resteem!

It's the least I can do!

Ah, thank you so much for the kind words! :')

I'll try to record another melody that hopefully you find beautiful tomorrow, another song from the acoustic record I hope to record soon.

I look forward to it!

Oh my god.. seriously so good!

Thank you ensh! I love the feel of this, it's one of my favorites to date! I found a footage goldmine :)

This is so dreamy :)

^o^^o^^o^

Can't say this style of music is in my particular taste but hey, to each its own. I'll give you points for originality and I always appreciate that. Good work and #Upvoted

Thank you, it's certainly not for everyone lol!

resteemed!

Perfect ! I love it all .. @vachemorte 's music - your vocal performance - the melody - the visuals - and the total Steem collaboration. @juliakponsford - it's Great that you identify all the different influences leading up to the finished work of Art. Thanks so much !
It's also very interesting you had the feeling that this was already created and that you just had to pick it out ..... I've gotten that sense before ..... and (duh!) come to think of it, that's the idea in the poem. Dreams come first. Ssso Nice :)

I"m so glad you like it, and you're exactly right I think my subconscious is what helped me put it all together (thats what dreams are for right?) so very apropos for the content :)

Wow ... great vibe - has some nice bjork influences - but you have a great sound yourself - keep up the awesome work!

Thanks for the comment and resteem! I have a bit of a complex about my voice but I decided to be brave and go for it! It's kind of like when you hear yourself on an answering machine and go (^o^)I sound like that? Lol

thank you @auditoryorgasms and @discodia bot!

I'm fanatic of all the weird psycodelic and inusual things, above all the music and the strange expression of it, that's seems to me so creepy and amazing, I enjoy so when I find some like this, beacause all my time is use to produce and compose music videos and so many art , absolutely followed my friends

I love psychedelic and creepy stuff too, I'm happy you like it! I have four other videos on my blog in a similar style you can check out if you like :)

Awesome job! What software did you use to edit? I love the footage and what a unique rare find. I love that this was a collaboration. It has a haunting feeling to it as well that I like. I really enjoyed watching it.

Yay! It's a pretty niche style so it's not everyone's thing so I'm happy you enjoyed it! I used Adobe premiere to edit, reason for the music, I am slowly learning after effects but I can only do pretty simple stuff right now. I found a treasure trove of archived footage so I have plenty more to come! I think for the next one it might have burlesque strippers from the 60s/ 70s :)

The Internet Archive has a lot of that footage as well all public domain. I teach media and design. I'm ok with After Effects. I'm very knowledgeable with Final Cut. I look forward to your next video.

Maybe I can use my basic after effects skills and make them dance on a cloud or something.

I must confess I came back here to listen/watch this again and again.
So hypnotic and I am dreaming so deep....

You should listen to it while you're sleeping it might make you have weird dreams :)

Love it. The visuals work. Perfect piece to listen to right before sleep.

I'm glad you liked it sweet dreams :)

Very eerie sounding like it'd play during a dream sequence in a horror flick.

Wow! You help me remember that to others, I'm always what I do; but to myself, I'm always what I am about to do. Thanks very much.

Hey, I am surprised to see a comment on such an old post! Thanks for checking it out :)
